It was a sunny day on the well prepared track of Orehova Vas, in Slovenia, for the EMX65 and 85 and Open Championships.
EMX 65
In Race1 the championship leader Russo does the holeshot before Gutierrez and Pavan who crashed in 2nd lap and was out of the race. Close racing in top 5 gave Gutierrez as final winner before Lata and Russo.
In Race2 Italian Russo and Russian Osmolovskiy struggled for the leadership of the race. Russo crashed but restarted and managed to gain some points. In the end Gutierrez won in front of Osmolovskiy and of Spanish Guillen. In the overall Gutierrez won before Lata and Guillen.
EMX 85
In Race1 it was close racing from the start. Holeshot for Eddie Wade before Facca and Hofer followed by Cristino. Local hero Mausser was in the pack around the 10th place. Three laps before the end Facca took the lead and also Hofer passed Wade. While leading, Facca had to stop because of a wrist injury due not to a crash but probably to a bad jump, and Hofer won before Wade and Mausser.
In Race2, holeshot for Spanish Congost. In the second lap Wade passed him and soon Hofer and Cristino did the same. Four minutes before the end Hofer passed Wade and won. Due to mechanical problems Mausser missed the podium and Cristino finished in 3th place.
The final podium was formed by Hofer, Wade and Cristino. Hofer is the championship leader.
EMX OPEN
In race1 holeshot for Bertuzzo, who was in front for the first half race. Then the championship leader Michek went ahead and won the race before Bartos, Michalec and Irt. Bertuzzo had to retire for a technical problem while he was second.
In Race2 Bertuzzo did not start because his bike could not be prepared.
Michek did the holeshot before Kutnar. A few laps later he was passed by Irt, Michalec and Bartos. Recently injured, Irt was passed by Michalec and Bartos. The overall podium was for Michek before Michalec and Bartos. Michek is the championship leader.
