EMX 65, 85 South West Zone at Fernao Joanes (Portugal)

EMX 65 Start

The circuit of Fernao Joanes/Guarda in Portugal hosted the last round of the EMX 65 and EMX 85 South West Zone Motocross European Championships.

On very good track conditions, 45 riders in the two classes took the start in front of around 3.000 spectators (27 riders in EMX 65 and 18 in EMX 85). The weather was sunny and warm for the whole weekend.

In Race1 it the winner was Spanish female rider Daniela Guillen, who arrived at the finish line in front of her compatriot Victor Puig and Italian Simone Pavan. In Race2 Pablo Gutierrez from Spain won finishing before Daniela Guillen and Victor Puig, with a Spanish podium. In the overall Daniela Guillen won in front of Victor Puig and Simone Pavan.
Since this was the last race of the season for the SW Series, the winner is Spanish Pablo Gutierrez on KTM, with 164 points, in front of his compatriot Daniela Guillen, with 141 points.

The best rider in the EMX 85 was French Tom Guyon, who won both races. In Race1 he won in front of Maks Mausser from Slovenia and French Thibault Benistant. In Race2 on the podium with Guyon stepped Benistant and Spanish Oriol Oliver. In the Overall Tom Guyon was the leader in front of Thibault Benistant and Maks Mausser.
It was the last race of the season for EMX 85 SW Series, too, and the winner is Maks Mausser, on KTM, from Slovenia, with 160 points in front of René Hofer from Austria with 125 points.
