FIM Europe Management Council at Fiumicino (Italy)

The FIM Europe Management Council meeting was held today in Fiumicino, near Rome (Italy). Many important topics have been discussed, like the report of the President, the report of the Secretary General, the report of the Chairman of the Sporting Council, the report of the Chairman of the Non-Sporting Council, as well as various reports from the other Vice-Presidents. During the FIM Europe Management Council meeting, special attention was given to the report of the Treasurer, as well as the report of the Auditors. The 2017 Balance-Sheet was unanimously approved and so was the 2018 Budget. Freddie Spencer at FIM Europe event at Roma Motodays Motorcycle Show

The three-times world champion Freddie Spencer was the protagonist of a FIM Europe event during the Roma Motodays Motorcycle Show, in Italy. On the stage with Silvio Manicardi, FIM Europe second vice-president, the American champion’s speech dealt with moto-touring and safety. “In 29 years of racing on track I have been learnt to understand and even anticipate situations, feelings that I always try to transfer to young motorcyclists both for track use and to ride in a safer and more careful way on the road”, stated Freddie Spencer. GIANT Snowmobile Enduro European Cup at Kemijärvi (Finland)

The first round of GIANT Snowmobile Enduro FIM European Cup was held at Kemijärvi, in Finland, with 29 participants, in front of around 200 spectators in the first day and 500 in the second day. The weather was cloudy, with temperatures from -3 to -8 C° degrees and about 1 meter of snow. Day 1 - Nice and long special tests were challeanging for the riders. Three special tests were more than 50 km long and one was shorter for spectators near the city. In the Veteran class among the participants there were Tapio Nevala President of Finnish Motorcycle Federation (photo1) and Kurt Ljungqvist General Secretary (photo2). The winners in day one were Tuula Havumäki in Women, Saku Niskanen in the Junior, Teppo Käkelä in the Senior, Jukka Nyberg in the Veteran. FIM Europe at «Motodays» in Rome

From 8th to 11th March 2018, the Rome Fair is hosting the tenth edition of Motodays, Motorbike and Scooter Show in the Center-South of Italy, an event that in a short time has managed to establish itself in the sector of the trade fair, becoming second fair in Italy for the powered two-wheeler universe. Among the thematic areas, the "Motorcycle Touring” one. Great news, for the 10 years of the event, is the "International touring exchange on two wheels", with the participation of many foreign companies which propose their dream offers for a two-wheeled adventure. In this context, the presence of FIM Europe was added with its space dedicated to its Touring activities. Regional Associations Sports Results now available on FIM Europe website

 The FIM Europe official website has been enriched with a new section, dedicated to the Regional Associations and the results of their sports events. In particular, at the following link http://www.fim-europe.com/results_regional/ the 2017 sports event results can be already found. The new issue of FIM Europe Yearbook is online on FIM Europe official website and it can be downloaded for free at this link. The FIM Europe 2018 Yearbook is available also in the reserved area of the official website. In the table of contents, we find the Welcome from the FIM Europe President Dr Wolfgang Srb, the story,  organisation and  structure of FIM Europe, as well as infos about  International Organisations, National Federations and Regional Associations, the 2017 sporting results, the roll of honour of European Championships and Cups. European Superenduro Cup at Bilbao (Spain)

The atmosphere in the Biskaia Arena was electric for the 2nd round of the European Superenduro Cup. A little over 6000 fans came to the Bilbao Exhibition Center to cheer on the best international riders – the event hosted, in fact, also the 4th round of the Maxxis FIM Superenduro Maxxis FIM Superenduro World Championship. The show, which was full-on, complete with enthusiastic cheerleaders and shockingly unpredictable races. Great challenge between French Jacon Adrien and German Tim Apolle, winner of the first round in Poland, who raced with a KTM 300 that he will also use in the German Enduro Championship. The first manche was regular, while in the second final, just after the start, the crash of a rider slowed the race of the best ones, who had to make difficult comebacks, on the very technical track set up in the city of the Basque Country.
