FIM Europe is in the University

Today in the Università degli Studi di Roma Foro Italico, the sole State Sport University in Italy, about one hundred students attended a lesson about "The governance of FIM Europe" held by FIM Europe Secretary General Mr Alessandro Sambuco, who is also an Assistant Professor of this University. Alessandro Sambuco explained to the young audience the world of FIM Europe, which is exemplifying of other Federations and of the Sporting Governance in general.  In particular, the lesson dealt with the principles at the basis of "good governance", from transparency to responsibility, from the participation and involvement of members and stakeholders, to integrity and ethic behaviour. The International Sports Organization was described, too. The FIM Europe President Dr Wolfgang Srb was present, too, and intervened with a speech to the students, explaining, in particular the vision and the mission of FIM Europe. The second round of European Baja Championship was held last weekend from Rechnitz (Austria) to Sárvár (Hungary). For the first leg the weather was mostly sunny, with 18-20°C.It was a long day with two long special stages and two shorter stages, quite easy but dusty.There were many time penalties during the day for different reasons.In Bike class the winner was Rudolf Lhotsky from Czech Republic; in Quad Pawel Otwinowski from Poland won the Overall and the Q1, while Maciej Albinowski, from Poland, too, won the Q2. The Italian rider Giammarco Fossa is the winner in UTV category. Hungarian Matyas Somfai won the Open class. For the second leg, nice weather and very good special stages together with a local rally. EMX65 and 85cc – NW zone and ITP EMX Quad Championship in Randers (Denmark) – Day 2

The 5th NW EMX65/85 round and the third ITP EMX Quad European Championship of the season were held in Randers, between Aarhus and Aalborg in Denmark.      EMX 85               In Heat1 the holeshot went to Max Palsson (SWE).  Heat 1 was dominated again by Mikkel Haarup, who won in front of Rick Elzinga. Third place for Anton Nagy (SWE). All 3 were in their top positions from start to finish. Second holeshot for Rick Elzinga, but he only could get the silver place behind the golden boy Mikkel Haarup with a gap of 21 sec. Bronze position for Petr Polak (CZE).  Overall EMX85:  1. Haarup,  2. Elzinga,  3. Polak     EMX 65             Holeshot for Jens Walfoort. Also in EMX65 the latest winner Kay Karssemakers from Netherland was in the lead for the whole distance. EMX65 and 85cc NE zone and EMX Open in Cieszyn (Poland)

Cieszyn in Poland hosted the second round of European Championship EMX65 and 85 NE and the third round of EMX Open class. In sunny and hot weather all practises and races run smoothly without accidents. EMX 65Qualifying race was dominated by Russsian riders Egor Frolov as winner of the heat and Kyril Vorobyov on second plase both were followed by Belarussian rider Kyril Kadorkin.In race1 beautiful battle between the pole-man Egor Frolov from Russia and Estonian Martin Michelis. Most of the race Michelis controlled Frolov and won with an advantage of 4.389s in front of Egor Frolov and Kyril Vorobyov.Egor Frolov, Kyril Vorobyov, Romeo Karu and Martin Michelis fought for win in second race. At the end Kyril Vorobyov won in front of Estonian Romeo Karu and first race winner Egor Frolov. EMX65 and 85cc – SE zone in Sliven (Bulgaria)

The third round of the EMX 65 and 85 cc SE zone was held this weekend in Sliven (Bulgaria). In the class EMX65 both heats were dominated by the Hungarian rider Adam Kovacs (KTM) who won with great advantage in front of his fellow rivals. Second in both races was the Moldavian rider Igor Cuharchuic (KTM). Although he had a bad qualifying race on Saturday and started from last position, he managed to win against the Bulgarian rider Kristian Ivanov (KTM) who saw the chequered flag from position three in both heats. For the EMX85 class, it was not a difficult race for the local rider Alex Dimitrov (BUL, KTM) who won both races, leading the group from start to finish. European Supermoto in Busca (Italy) – Day 1

The third round of European S2 Supermoto is held this weekend in Busca (Italy). Under cloudy skies German rider Marc Reiner Schmidt was the fastest in the qualifying sessions at the recently renovated circuit. Marc Reiner Schmidt has proven to be an unstoppable force, setting the fastest times in each and every one of the practice sessions, including free practice and timed training as well as walking away with the first four race victories of the season.  The TM rider waited until three minutes to go before leapfrogging the Italian Giovanni Bussei to set his third straight pole position of the season by almost three-tenths of a second.Second position was the best qualifying of the season for Bussei and after finishing third overall at the round of Italy (round two) will believe he has the tools to challenge for the win on Sunday.Honda L30 of Yuri Guardalà was third with

European Individual Speedway in Daugavpils (Latvia) – Semi-Final 2

The Latvian city of Daugavpils hosted European Individual SpeedwayChampionship Semi-Final 2. Successful race, with 3500 spectators who watched unbeaten Polish rider Piotr Pawlicki with 15 points on the top of podium. EMX65 and 85cc – NW zone and ITP EMX Quad Championship in Randers (Denmark) – Day 1

  The 5th NW EMX65/85 qualification round and the third ITP EMX Quad European Championship of the season were held in Randers, between Aarhus and Aalborg in Denmark. The weather was cold but nearly all day dry.  The track was well prepared.     Qualification EMX85:  (Qualifying races A and B, 15 min. + 2 laps)    In Group A the holeshot went to Anton Nagy from Sweden, who also won this short race with 10,5 seconds of advantage on Christopher Mills (GBR) and 14,5 seconds on Brian van der Klij (The Netherlands), as 3rd. Swedish rider Axel Semb did the holeshot in group B race but he finished the race in 4th position with more than 1 minute of distance from the winner, who was again Danish Mikkel Haarup. He finished the race 11,26 seconds ahead of Rick Elzinga (The Netherlands) and 59,73 seconds in front of the 3rd, Swedish Arvid Lüning.Qualification
