FIM Europe Congress at Nantes (France) – Day 2

The second day of FIM Europe Congress was held today in Nantes, France. As scheduled, the Management Council was held, so as the Meetings of the Commissions and Panels. In the afternoon, the Road Safety Conference took place, which was very successful, with big attendance of delegates and media. The Management Council during the speech of FIM Europe President Dr. Wolfgang Srb. The topic of this year was: “Electric Mobility: from Racing to Riding the Roads”, dealing with the development of electronics and technology. After the welcome speech of Mr Jean-Pierre Moreau, Chairman of Public Affairs Commission, FIM Europe 2nd Vice-President Mr Silvio Manicardi explained ‘Why a Conference on electric motorcycles in Europe?’. The speech was followed by Mr John Chatterton Ross’ speech on ‘Current issues facing motorcycling from Brussels’; Mr. Sébastien Poirier, Directeur Général of the Fédération Française de Motocyclisme talked about the situation of Motorcycling in France. The Road Safety Congress is scheduled to start today at 16.30 from the FIM Europe Congress in Nantes (France) and will be broadcasted in live streaming from 16.30 at the following link: http://ffmoto.attwm.fr/. FIM Europe Congress at Nantes (France) – Day1

Congrés,Fim,Europe,2018,Nantes The FIM Europe Congress kicked off today in Nantes (France), with the scheduled meetings of the Sporting and Non-Sporting Councils. In the Sporting Council relevant issues were discussed with the Chairmen of the various Commissions. The reports of the latest activities of all disciplines were analysed at the presence of FIM Europe President Dr Wolfgang Srb, of FIM Europe 1st Deputy President and Chairman of Sporting Council Martin de Graaff, of Michal Sikora, FIM Europe Treasurer. European Talent Cup – a change in the technical rules

The FIM Europe has published a change in the ETC technical rules. The section of the European Talent Cup technical regulations that has been modified is: 5.6.9.4 Rear suspension unit: e. The total length of the shock absorber must remain between the limits recommended by the manufacturer for the homologated motorcycle. (Max length between mounting holes centers is 312 mm). EMX65, EMX 85 NE and EMX Women at Strykow (Poland)

The beautiful track of Strykow in Poland hosted the third round of the 2018 EMX Women European Championship and the last round of EMX 65 and EMX 85 North East zone. Around one thousand spectators gathered around the track to welcome and enjoy their favorite riders and feel the spirit of the race. The weather, despite all forecast and rain, turned out to be perfect during the whole weekend. Even though the organizer did a massive job to maintain the good quality of the track. On Saturday Danish rider Sara Andersen did an outstanding job at the Qualifying Race in EMX Women and was in the leadership the whole time. Just right behind her was Shana Van Der Vlist from The Netherlands with around 12 seconds from Sara. The third place was taken by Mathea Selebo from Norway. EMX 65 and 85 SE Zone and Open at Globare (Serbia) – Day 2

EMX 85 Hungarian rider Pergel Bence lead from start to finish to win in Race 1. He was followed by Croatian rider Luka Kunic and Marios Kanakis from Greece. The same podium was repeated in race2. The overall winner of the day is Bence Pergel ahead of Marios Kanakis and third Patrik Ujcic. Overall SE Zone winner is Patrik Ujcic, second is Luka Kunič, third Bence Pergel. EMX 65 Israelian Ofir Casey Tzemach did the hole shot and started to lead the race. Soon he made a mistake and finished in last place. Zoltan Ordog took the lead and won Race 1 in front of Dino Loncar and Simun Ivandic. Simun Ivandic did the hole shot in race 2 and soon created a gap ahead of Zoltan Ordog. Both were followed by Dino Loncar and Ofir Casey Tzemach. Simun Ivandic crashed and all three overtook him. Also Zoltan Ordog made

Supermono European Cup at Rijeka (Croatia)

The second racing weekend of the Supermono European Cup took place at Grobnik in Croatia. The weekend started with free practice sessions already on Friday. The weather wasn’t the best, there were a storm passing by, so almost every tent in the pit where broken, and some bikes fell over. Saturday (with a lot of sun) had 2 qualification rounds where Shaun Anderson from Irland and Josef Frauenschuh from Austria was the fastest riders on the track together with Daniele Scagnetti from Italy. During the weekend, the Supermono European Cup had 3 races consisting of 8 laps each. In the first race Shaun Anderson took an early lead with Josef Frauenschuh hunting him down and also passed him. After only 5 laps the race was stopped due to a rider crashing, because his motorbike leaked some oil. The race counted as completed and full points were awarded. The winner of

Vintage Road Racing European Championship at Sachsenring (Germany)

The riders of the FIM Europe Vintage Road Race Championship gathered at the Sachsenring circuit, which in just three weeks’ time will host the German round of the 2018 Moto GP. In a wet qualifying session 2016 Champion Peter Howarth was the fastest and took the pole position on his TZ350 Yamaha, closely followed by 2017 Champion Richard Peers Jones also on Yamaha. Paul Allender qualified third for a front row of the grid completely British. The conditions were still wet for Race 1 and a close race ensued with Peers-Jones (Class 7b) beating Howarth to the flag for only 0.2 seconds. The fastest lap was set by Howarth on his final lap in his efforts to close the gap from the winner. Swedish Lars Sanberg (Class 5) and his trusty Seeley G50 finished third to complete the podium. Bajas European Championship at Oleshki (Ukraine)

Day 1 - The 1st stage of the European Baja Championship started in Oleshky desert, Ukraine. It was a historical moment for Ukraine and Europe. The first day of the “Boss Baja Ukraine” began traditionally with a Super Special Stage (SSS) and Super Stage (SS), lenght of the tests was 12,1 km and 33,3 km long. In the extremely hot weather conditions the fastest rider from 8 participants who take part in European Championship in the bikes class was Anton Chornyi from Ukraine with time 40:13,48 , racing with KTM bike. In the same time Arcadiusz Lindner from Poland set the best result in the Quad Class with time 45:44,37 driving with BRP Renegate 800 vehicle. Also a female rider, Olga Rouckova from Czech Republic, competed in the Quad Class. For the riders it was a pretty interesting and hard day due to hot weather (41° C) and nature conditions.
