The sixth and final round in European Championship EMX 85cc & EMX 65cc, and the 7th round in EMX Open was this weekend held in Senkvice, Slovakia. On a very hot Saturday the organizer has made a great work with watering the track, and the qualifying races went very well. In the EMX 85cc it was Gianluca FACCHETTI (ITA) the fastest rider and got the pole position in the Sunday races. In the EMX 65cc it was Noel NIELSSON (SWE) who got the pole position. In the EMX Open class the fastest rider was Semen ROGOZIN (RUS).
Sunday´s races were under great conditions except the last hour, when huge thunderstorm came and due to this Jury commission decided to shortened EMX 65 second race and cancelled EMX OPEN second race.
The first race In EMX 85cc meant victory for Taylor HAMMAL (GBR) who secured by this his overall victory in Šenkvice. Gianluca FACCHETTI (ITA) expected after successful qualifying race at least podium position, but unfortunately in first race he felt down, hurt his hand and finished earlier. In second heat he tool holeshot and won, but he was able to manage only 4th position overall. Petr POLÁK (CZE) finished on second and Mikkel LARSEN (DEN) on third step of the rostrum.
In EMX 65cc it was Noel NILSSON (SWE) who gained second and first in heats and managed to finish as a winner of the day. First race won Ben HESS (GER) but in second he couldn´t overtake Nilsson so finally he was second overall. Max LOVGREN (SWE) finished as third.
In the Open Class only results from first race was counted so according them Semen ROGOZIN (RUS) finished on the highest place on podium, Martin KOHUT (SVK) was the second and Petr BARTOS (CZE) took third place.
The 8th and final round in the EMX Open class will take place in OREHOVA VAS (SLOVENIA) the 5th and 6th of July.
