ITP European Quadcross Second round in Italy

The second ITP European Quadcross Championship was held in the Italian town of Gazzane di Preseglie, with 17 riders. The weathers condition early in the morning were bad and raining but after few hours it was sunny, with 20° C. Because of bad weather the 1st race was held on Saturday late afternoon. The track was well prepared.         

Qualification            
On Saturday qualification the first position went to the Latvian Edgars Meņģelis, 1,21 sec ahead of the Netherland rider Mike  Van Grinsuen, 0,716 sec in front of Italian rider Andrea Cesari jr.     
Race 1            
The holeshot went to Andrea Cesari jr, who dominated the first heat for the first 14 laps, but then Latvian Edgars Meņģelis overtook the leader and won with 11 seconds on Andrea Cesari Jr and with 32 seconds on Dutch Mike Van Grinsuen.
Race 2            
The holeshot went to Edgars Meņģelis, who won the race in front of Dutch Mike Van Grinsuen and Andrea Cesari Jr.             
Over all standing of the day: 1) Edgars Mengelis, LAT (50 pts); 2) Mike Van Grinsuen, NED (42 pts); 3) Andrea Cesari Jr, ITA (42 pts)            
Next race will be in Randers, Denmark, on May 16/17.
