Edgars Mengelis, from Latvia, leader of qualifying – Photo by Rien WillemsThe sixth and final ITP EMX QuadCross event of the season 2015 is being held by the well known organizer in Latvia, in Kegums, approximately 55 kms East of the Latvian Capital Riga.
The weather was hot on Saturday and for Sunday some rain and temperatures up to 25°C are announced. The track was very well prepared and there have been 35 entries and 26 riders present, which is quite good considering that it is the last race of the seson.
On Saturday’s qualification practice the pole position went to the European Champion of last year, Mike van Grinsven, in front of the new Champion, the Latvian Edgars Mengelis, who is 1.46 secs behind. Third position went to Jani Tanhuanpaa, FIN.
