On Sunday July 23rd after a long illness the great athlete, three times 250cc Motocross World Champion Gennadij Moiseev passed away at the age of 69.
He was a man of strong, athletic will, inexhaustible diligence and talent and sports achievements, who inspired all Soviet athletes.
The sporting achievements of Gennadij Moiseev brought glory to the Soviet Motorsport in the USSR and abroad.
In 1974 he won the first world title for KTM, thereby giving a further development to this Company.
After completing his sports career in 2000, he headed the Russian Motorcycle Federation MFR.
