European Snowmobile Enduro Cup in Kemijarvi (Finland)

The European Snowmobile Enduro Cup was held in Kemijarvi, in northern Finland where Snowmobile Enduro was born 25 years ago.

The race was a success and this year the 2 day event consisted of a total of 8 tests and a route of over 540 km.
The snow conditions were excellent and provided perfect conditions for a traditional Snowmobile enduro race.
31 senior class, 24 veteran class, 6 women class and 3 junior class riders and snowmobiles were inspected and approved to the race. The technical steward was pleased with the local clubs as for officials and arrangements.
In the Senior Class, on Day1 Lauri Pellonpää from Finland won and Juha Haapamaki and Henri Marttinen completed the podium. On Day2 Pellonpää confirmed his leadership in front of Haapamaki and Teppo Kakela.
Among Veterans, on Day 1 Pasi Karjalainen from Finland won in front of Jukka Nyberg and Janne Nurminen. On Day 2 Tommi Haavikko won and Jukka Nyberg and Risto Kainulainen completed the podium.
In the Junior class Niki Nummijoki was the winner on Friday and on Saturday.
In the Women Class, the winner was Kati Pätsi in both days, too.
On Saturday the race started with the reversed starting order as scheduled earlier.
After two intensive days of racing the winners of the European championship classes are as follows:
Veteran: Jukka Nyberg (FIN)
Women: Kati Pätsi (FIN)
Senior: Lauri Pellonpää (FIN)
Junior: Niki Nummijoki (FIN)
