Spectators from Germany, the Netherlands, France and England were promised thrilling and exciting racing at Bielefeld (Germany) over the weekend and that’s exactly what they got.

Despite a very hot and sunny day, the club worked hard to produce a very fast race track that gave the spectators an excellent racing day at the European Individual Grass Track 2nd Semi Final event.
The eighteen competitors quickly adapted to the conditions, which produced some very fast and furious racing.
As the meeting progressed, the track conditions improved, and it was difficult to forecast who would be the eventual winner. However once all the qualifying heats had been completed, German rider Enrico Janoschka emerged as the hot favourite, having been unbeaten during the first part of the event.
With nine qualifying places (+ one reserve) being available to progress into the European Final at Staphorst (Netherlands) in July, it was Janoschka who made a flying start from the gate in the A Final, and raced unbeaten to the finish line. The second place went to reigning European champion Jannick De Jong from the Netherlands, with third place going to German rider Jorg Tebbe.
The nine qualifying riders from this second Semi Final now will join the other nine competitors who qualified from the 1st Semi Final – which was held in England at the end of April.
Everyone in the Track Racing world will now be focusing on the European Final which is being staged at Staphorst on the 18th July, in what will be an extremely hard race meeting prior to the crowning of the FIM Europe Individual European Grass Track Champion for 2015.
