European Individual Grass Track Championship:
cancellation of Semi Final 2
The 2nd Semi Final of the European Individual Grass Track Championship was scheduled to be held last weekend at Loppersum, in the Netherlands.
Following the successful staging of practise during Saturday morning, the heavy rain did not allow to follow the schedule and the Jury was forced to cancel the event.
The Grass Track Working Group (a subcommittee of the FIME Track Racing Commission) is currently working with two potential organisers to identify a suitable restaging date in order that the top 9 riders can qualify through to the European Final which will be held at Tayac, France, on the 6th July.
A further update will be issued once arrangements have been finalised.
