After a vigorous start in March and shortly later the second round in France, the  Enduro European-Championship (EEC) lived a long pause before the third round, which is scheduled on 30th and 31st July 2016  at Ogre, in Latvia. A European Enduro round was held in the same venue in 2012 for the first time, with a very well organized race.

This time a 62 km long stage has been prepared, which will be faced for three times by the riders. Two enduro-tests and one modern extreme-test are on schedule, too, which will offer a lot of action.
There are expected more than 150 riders from 18 Countries, fighting in 8 different classes and, of course, for the overall.
The second half of the season has to show whether the young riders, Brad Freeman (in the photo) from England and Nicolas Pellegrinelli from Italy can beat the former champions Tom Sagar from England and Maurizio Micheluz from Italy.
On Saturday 30th of July 2016 at 9.00 the race will start from the Ogre Technical school, only 35 km from the airport of Riga. The paddock will be in the same city.
A prelude to the sporting weekend will be already on Friday at 6:00 p.m. with the presentation of the riders and the opening ceremony.
