EMX65 and EMX85 South-East Motocross in Troyan (Bulgaria)

aboutuem The Bulgarian motocross track of Troyan was the host of the third round of the European Championship 65cc-85cc South-Eastern Zone. Bulgarian Ivelin Manev (KTM) got in the lead and did not surrender top spot until the finish flag was waved to win first race of EMX85. Bulgarian home-crowd really appreciated the efforts of the little Bulgarian rider who was chased until the very end of the race by second place Croatian Luka Crnkovic (KTM). Third place went to Bulgarian Hakan Halmi (KTM).

Second race of the EMX85 was dominated by the runner-up of the first race: Luka Crnkovic (KTM). He got the best start and stayed in the lead for all 13 laps of the race. In the first part of the race Romanian Robert Tompa (Suzuki) – who finished fourth in the first race – managed to get himself up on the second spot of the podium but halfway through the race in lap 7 lost the second position to Bulgarian Hakan Halmi (KTM).

Moldavian Igor Cuharciuc (KTM) wins race 1 of the EMX65 in front of Croatian Nikola Hranic (KTM). Hungarian riders Tommaso Bertotto (KTM) and Adam Kovacs (KTM) came in third and forth. Second race of the EMX65 sees the same pretendents on the top step of the podium as Croatian Nikola Hranic (KTM) manages to take the win of the race and of the overall. Second was Hungarian Tomasso Bertotto (KTM) while winner of the first EMX65 race Moldavian Igor Cuharciuc (KTM) only finishes third.

The provisional rankings see, in the 65cc class, the leadership of Tommaso Bertotto with 123 points in front of Adam Kovacs and Dimitar Petrov both with 99 points. In the 85cc class, first position for Robert Tompa with 138 points, followed by Luka Crnkovic with 131 points.

Next round of the Championship will take place in Zarnesti (Romania) on the 18th and 19st of May.
