EMX65 and 85 SW Europe in Baldasserona (San Marino)

aboutuemThe fifth round of the EMX65 and EMX85 Motocross European Championship (South Western leg) was held in Baldasserona (San Marino). The race was held in sunny weather conditions: 39°C was the temperature of the day. The circuit, very well prepared and watered worked very well. This was the last race valid for the allocation of 10 positions in the championship to participate in the Great Britain final.

In the 85cc, in the first heat Andrea Zanotti from San Marino (TM) started on top and maintained the leadership till the end flag, second position went to Italian Gabriele Oteri (TM) and third to Italian Tomas Ragadini (KTM). In the second heat, Zanotti won again in front of Oteri, while third position went to Italian Gianmarco Cenerelli (KTM).

In the 65cc class, the first heat was won by the Austrian Rene Hofer (KTM), second the Italian Alessandro Facca (KTM) and third the Spanish Oliver Vilar Oriol (KTM). In the secon heat, saw the same three rider in the first three positions.

The final classification of EMX65 South West rankings after 5 races, see the leadership of Oliver Oriol (ESP) with 184 points, followed by the Italian Alessandro Facca with 169 points and the Spanish David Braceras with 152 points. The final EMX85 South West rankings after 5th races, see the leadership of Italian Gianluca Facchetti with 194 points, followed by the Italian Gabriele Oteri with 183 points and the French Ludovic Bompar with 177 points.

The final event of European Motocross 65-85cc Championship is scheduled on the 23-24-25th of August in Matterely Basin (Great Britain).
