EMX 65/85 South East Zone at Zarnesti (Romania)

The fourth round of the EMX 65cc and EMX 85cc South East Zone took place this weekend at Zarnesti, in Romania.
After one week with heavy rain the organizers made a great job and managed to prepare an acceptable, shorter track.
Saturday’s qualifying went well and in the EMX 85cc class the fastest rider was Igor Cuharciuc from Moldova who got the pole position for Sunday’s races followed by Antonis Sagmalis form Greece and Patrik Ujcic from Croatia.
In the EMX 65cc class the fastest rider oin qualifying was Noez Zanocz from Hungary, who got the pole position. Second place for Matija Sterpin from Croatia ahead of Viktor Borislavov from Bulgaria.

Today, in a sunny, well prepared track, the riders took part to the warm up in the morning before the races in the afternoon.
In EMX 85cc Nicolai Timus from Moldova won Race1 followed by his compatriot Igor Cuharciuc and by Mark Laszio Tecsi from Hungary.
In Race was2 the first rider at the finish line was Igor Cuharciuc with Antonis Sagmalis from Greece in second position ahead of Patrik Ujcic from Croatia.
Results of the day:
1 – Igor Cuharciuc (Moldova) 47 points
2 – Nicolai Timus (Moldova) 43 points
3 – Patrik Ujcic (Croatia) 38 points

In the EMX 65cc class both in Race1 and in Race2 the first rider over the finish line was Zanocz Noez from Hungary in front of Matija Sterpin from Croatia. Third step of the podium for Viktor Borislavov from Bulgaria.
Results of the day:
1 – Zanocz Noez (Hungary) 50 points
2 – Matija Sterpin (Croatia) 44 points
3 – Viktor Borislavov (Bulgaria) 40 points
The 5th round will take place at Krusevac, in Serbia, on June 20th.
