CEV Moto2: Fermin Aldeguer is the new champion!

CEV Repsol: Moto2 and HETC at Jerez Moto2 European Championship Fermin Aldeguer came into race 1 of the Moto2™ ECh with 44 points advantage. To win the championship he needed a 50 or more-point advantage at the end of the race, but with Aldeguer taking another win and Alonso Lopez taking another second, it left the 16-year-old with just a 49 point advantage, meaning the title would roll on to race 2. Taking third place was ‘best of the rest’ Lukas Tulovic (Liqui Moly SIC Intact Racing Team) once again. After a brief battle with Xavier Cardelus (Promoracing), Tulovic dug deep and pulled out a great performance to beat him to the flag. Supersport 300 Cup and Superstock 1000 Cup: action in Croatia Photo Credit Sofrić Studio Automotodrom Grobnik in Croatia hosted the 3rd and 4th round of the Supersport 300 Cup and Superstock 1000 Cup. Superstock 1000 Cup Serbian rider David Bozic (Spark Team Serbia – Honda CBR 1000RR) won both races by a comfortable margin in Race 1 (20 seconds) and 5 seconds gap in Race 2. Second place in both races for Swiss rider Florian Husler (ASR / Moto Meile – Kawasaki ZX10R) after a thrilling battle in Race 1 with Serbian rider Stahinja Kovacevic (Spark Team Serbia – BMW S1000RR) and the Slovakian Tomas Svitok (SK Energy Maco Racing Team – Yamaha R1) in Race 2. Northern Talent Cup: Luciano and Hosciuc victorious in Assen Race1 Lorenz Luciano (Junior Black Knights Team) was back on the top step in style at the TT Circuit Assen, the Belgian pulling away for a vital win in the standings and another victory in the Netherlands. Rossi Moor (FAIRIUM Next Generation Riders Team) and Jakub Gurecky (JRT Brno Circuit) completed the podium after a close fight for second, all taking vital points as the countdown to the finale continues... and Gurecky sets his sights on the Cup in Race 2. Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup: ups and down for Sofuoglu Race1 With the sun shining over the Czech venue for the Tissot Superpole, bLU cRU rider Sofuoğlu managed to qualify in ninth on board the #54 R3 GYTR-kitted bike, seeing him start Race 1 from the inside of the third row. The Turkish rider immediately joined the battle at the helm of the field in the race, trading places out front for the opening six laps. On the following tour though, the leader managed to pull a gap over the rest of the group, seeing Sofuoğlu now in a fight for second. Women's European SS 300 Cup: fourth round in Misano Fourth round for the Women's European SS 300 Cup at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Italy, in a thrilling night event in the background of the Pink Week of Riviera di Rimini. The first night pole of the history has been taken by Neil Santos Beatriz, securing an extra point on the general standing: the Spanish rider won with the fastest lap and completed the hat trick for the weekend. Neila Santos showed a strong pace to finish 7 second clear to the group. Second place for Sara Sanchez in a duel with Roberta Ponziani, third on the podium. Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup: round 3 in Assen Race1 Having qualified eighth, which became a seventh-place start after a penalty ahead, Sofuoğlu got away well and held his position in the opening stages. The Turkish youngster took the lead after passing several riders into the final corner on lap six of 14, but was shuffled back to seventh at the next corner, demonstrating just how close it was. The bLU cRU rider climbed back to third with two laps to go, before contact at Turn 10 dropped him back to eighth. On the final lap, Sofuoğlu had recovered back to third, but was just beaten on the run to the line by 0.02s, seeing him finish fourth.
