In the weekend from Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th March, the follow­ing European race will be held: 3 March - Super Enduro Cup at Bilbao/Spain (photo ©Robert Pairan)  

The city of Electron, in Russia, hosted the Final 1 and 2 of the European Individual Ice Speedway Championship. The event was held in front of around 5.000 spectators on each day, with sunny weather and temperatures around minus 25/20°C. The track conditions were perfect during the whole meeting thanks to the excellent job of the local club. There were some crashes during hard fight for points, but luckily with no injuries for the riders. The winner was Igor Kononov in front of Eduard Krysov and Nikita Bogdanov, all from Russia. In the weekend from Friday 23rd  to Sunday 25th February, the follow­ing European races will be held: 21-25 February - European All Terrain Rally Cup at Cuenca/Spain 24-25 February – European Individual Ice Speedway Championship at Viatskye Poliany/Russia

In the weekend from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th October, the follow­ing European races will be held: 27-28 October – Vintage Endurance Cup at Aragon/Spain 28 October – European Cross Country Cup at Tofta Skjutfalt Gotland/Sweden

In the weekend from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd October, the follow­ing European races will be held: 20-22 October – European Superstock 1000 at Jerez/Spain 20-22 October – European Supersport at Jerez/Spain          

In the weekend from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th October, the follow­ing European races will be held: 6-8 October – European Moto2, European Talent Cup (in the photo) and European Kawasaki Z Cup at Aragon/Spain        

In the weekend from Friday 29th September to Sunday 1st October, the follow­ing European races will be held: 29 September -1 October – European Superstock 1000 and Supersport Cup at Magny Cours/France 29 September -1 October – European YZ125 bLU cRU Cup Superfinale at Matterley Basin/Great Britain 30 September - European Pairs Speedway Championship at Lonigo/Italy 30 September - 1 October - European Supermoto Junior and S3 Championships at Pleven/Bulgaria

Today in Cingoli 3 races for sidecars plus 3 races for quads took place to decide the Nations team results. Perfect weather greeted the large crowd in the morning which was to change at the start of the last quad race. Quads- Team USA dominated the races but not without incident. In the first race Thomas Porter Brown holeshot but within 2 laps his team mate Joel Hetrick was in 2nd position despite starting on the second row. They continued to pull away from the rest of the field but Hetrick's quad suffered engine failure which put him out of the race. Italy's Andrea Cesari finished 2nd with French duo of Antoine Cheurlin and Yoann Gillouin taking 3rd and 4th place. The second race was totally dominated by the 2 Team USA riders, Chad Wienen and Joel Hetrick with Wienen holeshotting from the front row and Hetrick slotting into second

In the weekend from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th September, the follow­ing European races will be held: 22-24 September – European Supermono Cup at Frohburger Dreieck/Germany 23 September - European Open Endurance at Oschersleben/Germany 23-24 September - European Sidecar and Quadcross of European Nations at Cingoli/Italy OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA        

In the weekend from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th September, the follow­ing European races will be held: 8-9 September – European Baja Championship at Nova/Portugal 8-10 September – European Stocksport 300 Cup, International Classic Grand Prix and Supermono at Rijeka/Croatia 8-10 September – Dragbike European Championship and Superstreet Bike Cup at Santa Pod/Great Britain 8-10 September – EMX 150 at Assen/The Netherlands Martjin de Haas © Ivan Sansom and Rose Hughes
