Junior, S3 and Open Supermoto EC in Pleven

The first event of 2012 UEM Supermoto European Championship started last weekend in Pleven for the classes SM Junior, S3 and Open with a good number of participants, especially in the Junior Class (15 riders). Saturday practices were held in bad rain conditions, following a 2 weeks non-stop rain in the region of Pleven. The all tarmac facility in Dolna Mitropolia-Pleven made it possible to organize the race. The circuit and its facilities were operational at highest possible level as usual, offering the riders and their teams a perfect playground to show their skills and competitiveness. Both heats in SM Junior Class were won by the Turkish rider Harun Cabuk (Honda), followed by another Turkish rider Asrrin Rodi Pak (Honda). EMX65NE, EMX85NE and EMX Open IN Velke Uherce

The second round of the EMX65 / EMX85 in North-Eastern zone and the fifth round of the EMX Open Motocross European Championship was held in In Velke Uherce (Slovakia). In EMX65 first race the Russian rider Timor PETRASHIN (KTM) finished first in front of Ukrainian Mykola MOSKALUK (KTM) in second position and another Russian Daniil BALANDIN (KTM) in third position. In second race EMX 65 again victory by PETRASHIN. Second position also againe to MOSKALUK and third position from Estonian Andreas HIIEMAGI (KTM). In the class EMX85, the first race was won by Estonian rider Karl-Robert REINIKE (KTM) in front of two Slovak riders Denis POLAS (KTM) in second position and Pavol REPCAK (KTM) in third place. Second round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad in Reutlingen

The second round of the MAXXIS EMX Quad European Championship was run this weekend in Reutlingen (Germany) on a perfect prepared Motocross Track. In the Qualifying Practice Saturday afternoon the French Jérémie WARNIA (CANAM) was the fastest rider. On the second place was Belgian Jan VLAYMANS (W-TEC) and on the third place, French Romain COUPRIE (YAMAHA) In Race number one Latvian Edgars MENGELIS (KTM) was the fastest rider, and Italian Andrea CESARI Jr. (KTM) on the second place, third was British Paul HOLMES (YAMAHA). In Race number two French Jérémie WARNIA (CANAM) was the fastest, with Belgian Jan VLAYMANS (W-TEC), and Latvian Edgars MENGELIS (KTM) on the second and third place. SW EMX65, SW EMX85 and EMX Open in Brezice

The track of Brezice (Slovenia) hosted this weekend the 2nd round of the South-Western EMX 65cc and EMX 85cc and 4th round of the EMX Open. The time schedules was changed because of weather forecasts of heavy rain and thunder. The EMX 65cc class made therefore free training, qualifying training and 2 races on Saturday. In the first race EMX 65cc was the fastest rider Slovenian Luka Milek (KTM) with Italian Alessandro Facca (KTM) and Rene Hofer AUT (KTM) on the second and third place. Start of the UEM Cross Country Cup in Poland

The first round of the UEM Cross Country Cup was held today in the Polish track of Leczna. In the EC Junior class victory of Polish Jakub Piatek (Yamaha) in the first heat and of Polish Pawel Szymkowski (Husaberg) in the second. In the EC Senior class both heats were won by Polish Lukasz Kedzierski (Yamaha). In the EC Veteran class, Polish Marcin Tynowski (KTM) won both heats. In the EC Quad class first heat went to Polish Dawid Kalinowski (KTM) and second to Polish Lukasz Lewy (KTM). Results of the NW EMX 65cc & 85cc held in Culitzsch

The second round of the North-Western EMX 65 and 85cc Motocross European Championship was held today in the German track of Culitzsch. In the EMX65 class, victory of Swedish Rasmus Hakansson (KTM) in the first heat in front of Danish Bastian Boegh Damm (KTM) and Swedish Filip Olsson (KTM). In the second heat victory of Dutch Twan van Essen (KTM), followed by Olsson and Hakansson. In the EMX85 class, the first heat was won by British Conrad Mewse (KTM), followed by two Dutch riders Davy Pootjes (KTM) and Bas Vaessen (KTM). In the second heat the victory went to German Tilo Wittlerbaumer (KTM), second position to Dutch Davy Pootjes (KTM) and third to German Brian Hsu (Suzuki). Results of the SE EMX 65cc & 85cc held in Troyan

The third round of the South-Eastern EMX 65 and 85cc Motocross European Championship was held in Troyan (Bulgaria). Both races in EMX 65 were won by Bulgarian rider Hakan Halmi (KTM) in front of Moldavian rider Igor Cuharciuc (KTM). Third in the first race was Bulgarian Momchil Ivanov (KTM), while in the second race third place went to Bulgarian Julian Georgiev (KTM). In EMX 85 both races had the same podium: first place went to Bulgarian Michael Ivanov (KTM), second place was Bulgarian Ivan Petrov (KTM), while in third place finished Croatian Matija Kelava (KTM). The provisional rankings see the leadership of Igor Cuharciuc in the EMX65 with 138 points and of Michael Ivanov in the EMX85 with 140 points. Loktaev wins the 2nd Semi-Final of Ind. Speedway EC

The second Semi-Final of the Individual Speedway European Championship was held yesterday in Rivne (Ukraine). Five riders + one reserve qualified for the Finals, where eight riders can reach the 4-final series in which the 2012 Championship will be crowned. Victory was taken by the local hero Oleksandr Loktaev who won the race with maximum points. Second place was reached by Robert Miskowiak, Poland and after a run-off 3 place was reached by his fellowman Michal Szczepaniak, Poland. A good crowd of spectators have seen a very good meeting, well-organized by the local club and without any accidents. Record registrations to the 1st round of the Enduro EC

The organisers of the first round of the Enduro European Championship, scheduled on the 26th and 27th of May 2012 in Arsié (Italy), informed that until now they received the registration of 235 riders, among them only 50 coming from Italy. The rest is coming from different European countries, also from countries that participate to the Championship for the first time (for example Croatia and Lithuania). This record number of registration to this championship is a further confirmation of the value, also under a promotional point of view, of this event. Furthermore, it is important to highlight that 71 riders belong to the Junior classes, which is a good sign for the future of this discipline. In Arsié will be held also the single round of the UEM Cup of the 50 cc class.
