The third round of the Superstock 600cc. European Championship was held today in Monza (Italy) after it was postponed after a lightning storm in very close proximity to the circuit made it unsafe to continue as planned on Saturday.
This round was run under very difficult weather situation, the Start was deleted due to the strong rain. The race was characterised by 4 minor crashes.
The race was won by Italian Riccardo Russo (Yamaha), followed by Belgian Gauthier Duwelz (Yamaha) and Swiss Bastien Chesaux (Honda).
The provisional rankings see Riccardo Russo in leading position with 61 points.
Due to weather conditions the round of the Road Race European KTM Junior Cup class was cancelled.
Next round for both classes is scheduled on the 9th of June in Misano (Italy).
