The Final of the Individual Ice Racing European Championship was held last week–end in in Ufa, Russia, in good weather conditions with a temperature slightly under zero.
After two days of exciting heats with perfect prepared track on a very high sporting level the numerous spectators have seen the victory of Ice Speedway local world legend Russian Nikolay Krasnikov, eight-time world champion. He had never won an European Championship, now he can add this this title to his fantastic career.
Strong and hard but fair fight on the following places brought sixteen-year-old Russian Dimitry Solyannnikov up to the second place and vice-champion title. Third place went to the Austrian rider Harald Simon.
