EMX65 / EMX85 European Championship – Semifinal SW and SE zone
After the challenge between the Central Europe and North Europe zone, last week the SW and SE zone met in Gazzane di Preseglie, Italy, for the second EMX65 / EMX85 European Championship – Semifinal.
EMX65
The first race of EMX65 saw the win of the SW zone leader Francesco Assini (GasGas) ahead of French riders Tim Lopes (GasGas) and Loan Torro (GasGas).
Race 2 was ruled by Slovenian Taj Golez (Husqvarna), who won the qualifying race on Saturday, but finished sixth in the first heat. With the second position and 22 points the Italian rider Assini took the Semifinal win. Third place for Gonzalo Salvador (KTM), fourth for Alex Novak (KTM) and fifth for Loan Torro.

EMX85
The EMX85 class was dominated by home hero Riccardo Pini (KTM). The SW leader took full points by winning both of the races. The challenge for the podium was a matter between Aron Katona (KTM) and the second best rider of SW zone Nicolò Alvisi (GasGas). They shared one second and one third each, but with the second round being the deciding one, the Hungarian came up on top.

Now eyes on the EMX65 and EMX85 Final for all the four zones, that will take place in Loket, in the Czech Republic, on 15th-16th July in the same weekend of the MXGP.
