EMX65 and 85cc SE Zone Championship in Globare (Serbia)

The start of EMX65

On the beautiful track of Globare, near the city of Krusevac in Serbia, the last round of SE zone European Motocross Championship in classes EMX65 and 85 was held this weekend.

In qualifying race a great battle was held among three riders: Dimitar Grozdanov, Marius Popovici and Antonis Sagmalis. Grozdanov was leading almost all race when his engine broke.  Qualifying winner was Popovici from Romania in front of Greek Sagmalis and home rider Krsmanovic.
In the first race Antonis Sagmalis, second in the championship, won the first heat in front of Bulgarian Dimitar Grozdanov and Marius Popovici.
In the second heat we saw a jump start of Dimitar Grozdanov, winner of the first heat. Battle for first place was held between Marius Popovici and Antonis Sagmalis. At the end Marius Popovici managed to overtake Sagmalis and win second heat in front of Sagmalis and Grozdanov.
Overall winner of the day was Greek Antonis Sagmalis in front of Dimitar Grozdanov and Marius Popovici.

The battle in EMX85 cc race

In qualifying race two riders showed a great battle for first place. In the end the winner was Julian Georgiev in front of Alex Dimitrov and Viktor Kasabov, all three form Bulgaria.
In the first race, great battle for first place. At the end Alex Dimitrov was the winner in front of poleman Julian Georgiev and Viktor Kasabov.
In the second heat Julian Georgiev was leading more than half of the distance, but then he made a mistake and Alex Dimitrov won again, just in front of Georgiev and Kasabov.
Overall winner of the day was Alex Dimitrov in front of Julian Georgiev and Viktor Kasabov.
