EMX 65/85 South West Zone and Open at Orehova Vas (Slovenia) – Day 1

Orehova Vas, in Slovenia, is hosting the EMX 65/85 South West Zone and the Open European Championship. Today, fine weather with 22 degrees and beautiful sunshine for the first qualifying race, on the well prepared track of Orehova Vas, close to Maribor.

The holeshot was for Italian Andrea Roncoli but already in the first lap he was passed by British Eddie Wade and Spanish Gerard Congost. The championship leader David Braceras made his way through the pack and in the end he finished second after Wade, who won the qualifying race. Congost ended up in third position.

Start to finish leadership for Italian Ferruccio Zanchi who resisted the attack of Spanish Antonio Gallego. Third place for  Spanish Francisco Garcia in front of local rider Jaka Peklaj.

EMX Open
At start the Peter Irt was already leading before Jernej Irt, both from and Slovenia, and they will end the race maintaining their positions. Alijosa Molnar was third at the beginning but at the finishing line the third position was for Petr Bartos from Czech Republic in front of Ukrainian Dmytro Asmanov.
