EMX 65 and 85 NE Zone and EMX Women at Cieszyn (Poland) - Day1

The beautiful natural track of Cieszyn, in Poland, is hosting the first round of the EMX 65 and 85 North East Zone, together with the EMX Women. After a very hot Friday the temperature went down to 15°C on Saturday. A wide, very well prepared track was ready for qualifications.
In EMX 65 32 riders were taking part to the qualifying race. From start to finish the leader was Russian Elisey Oreshkin. He won in front of his compatriot Ilya Khabirov and of Lituanian Uhnius Liulys. Fourth position for Polish pre-qualifying winner Maksymiliam Chwalik.
In EMX 85  22 riders were at the start for the qualifying race. The holeshot winner was Mairis Pumprus. He stayed in front for a few laps, but after a mistake he was passed by Estonian Romeo Karu who finished before 3 Russian riders: Nikita Petrov, Daniil Kesov and Alexey Orlov.
In EMX Women, with 28 ladies on the starting grid, the holeshot was for Dutch Shana Van der Vlist before pre-qualifying winner, Danish Sara Andersen, who won the race. Also pre-qualifying second, Swedish Emelie Dahl passed Van der Vlist, who finished in third position in front of Polish Joanna Miller.
