Earth Day 2024

Earth Day 2024

Earth Day is a global day of celebration and recognition of the importance of protecting the environment. The day, which is celebrated annually on 22nd April, was first organized in 1970 in the United States of America. Since then, it has spread around the world.

The current topic of the Earth Day 2024 is Planet vs. Plastics.

We are producing and throwing away so much plastic that the situation regarding plastic is becoming unbearable.

Plastics are all around us, polluting water, soil, killing animals. They are burned, they are landfilled and only 14% of them are recycled to make something again. They flood our entire planet on a daily basis.

Change needs to start with ourselves first and foremost. Try to establish a household with as little plastic waste as possible. Try to teach yourself and your children to separate waste and to live in a way where you produce as little as possible. Earth Day 2024

The FIM Europe Environment Commission recommends:

– do not use single-use plastics (cups, plates, cutlery, straws, bags, etc.);

– reduce the use of single-use plastic during motorcycle competitions;

– use bottles made of glass or metal that can be used many times;

– recycle waste as much as possible.

Help us to create a better world!
