The weekend of 29th and 30th September, the Imola circuit hosted the 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship, the last round of the WMX and EMX300 Presented by FMF Racing plus the YZ125 bLU cRU Cup SuperFinale, Wrapping up a perfect weekend with victory in race two, young Swiss rider Kevin Brumann is the 2018 YZ125 bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale overall winner. Claiming the runner-up spot in race two Great Britain's Joel Rizzi secured second overall, with Denmark's Magnus Smith earning the third spot on the final podium. EMX 300 at Imola (Italy)

The world famous Autodromo Enzo & Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola hosted the Championship deciding races of EMX300 presented by FMF Racing where Verde Substance KTM’s Brad Anderson renewed his title and became the newest FIM Europe Champion. Imola is known for its road racing circuit but its history in motocross goes back 70 years when the first Motocross International races were held on its grounds. This weekend a massive amount of soil was moved to create an epic motocross track where the returning sound of two strokes echoed of the hillsides. GL12 Racing’s Mike Kras was 27 points behind Brad Anderson from Verde Substance KTM coming into the weekend. European Cross Country Cup in Latvia

FIM Europe Cross Country Cup at Madona (Latvia) gathered 19 participants from five Countries - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Finland. The two hours Cross Country race in Madona was not easy for many riders. The track was interesting and technical, and the riders after the race said they were satisfied with today’s race and track conditions. During the race they had to fight with forest trails, steep uphill and downhill and other obstacles. The track was unusual for competitors and suprised even many of the spectators who came to watch the race. Ugis Klimons from Latvia was the first to cross the finish line winning in Senior class ahead of Dmitriy Parshin (RUS) and Riho Keerme (EST). In the Veteran and Woman Classes Danielius Žoštautas (LTU) and Marita Nyqvist (FIN) won the Cross Country Cups. In the Junior Class Daniel Komkov (RUS) had to surrender to the supremacy of

European Moto2 and Talent Cup at Jerez (Spain) – Day2

The Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto was the ideal setting for the sixth round of the FIM CEV Repsol, in which Edgar Pons (AGR) Team) chalked up his third consecutive triumph in Moto2™ and Matteo Bertelle (SIC 58 Squadra Corse) took both wins in the European Talent Cup. Óscar Ibáñez (Noyes Camp) won the second European Kawasaki Z Cup race of the weekend. In Moto2™, Edgar Pons was unstoppable on the way to his third consecutive victory. The AGR Team rider led away and lap by lap he pulled clear, followed by Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior, photo1)). Hector Garzó (Team Wimu CNS), who set the pole time but who was sanctioned and started down the grid, was hit by Miquel Pons (Bullit) in the second corner and was out of the race. European Superstock 1000 and Supersport 600 Cup at Magny Cours (France)

Just a few words to sum up Markus Reiterberger (alpha Racing-Van Zon-BMW) and his 2018 season in the European Superstock 1000 Championship, as he leaves Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours as the champion. Taking the crown in the final round of the year, he showed out on track just why he’s taken this crown with his stunning domination and pace. Hailing from Trostberg in Germany, Reiterberger first began racing in 2007 in the acclaimed Red Bull Rookies Cup with small levels of success. His first competitive victory came in 2009, in the Yamaha Cup and he was crowned champion of that same series the following season. Moving into the IDM and European Superstock 1000 Championships, he had found his calling and progressed throughout both series. Italian riders of the past honoured in Imola MXGP

Yesterday afternoon during the MXGP of Italy at Imola’s Autodromo Enzo & Dino Ferrari circuit former Italian motocross champions were honored and given certificates from FIM Europe President Dr. Wolfgang Srb, FMI President Giovanni Copioli and President of Formula Imola Uberto Selvatico Estense. Dr. Wolfgang Srb spent time congratulating the riders with the certificates that acknowledged the great significance of their impressive careers combined with the occasion of this GP and the 70-year anniversary of motocross at Imola. Various Italian riders were present and awarded and among the others we remember Emilio Ostorero, 16-time Italian Champion in both 250cc and 500cc during 1950, 1960, and 1970, Canzio Tosi 5-time Motocross Italian champion in 250cc and 500cc and Italo Forni (Italy), 500cc Motocross Italian Champion in 1974 and part of the Fiamme Oro group.

European Moto2 and Talent Cup at Jerez (Spain) – Day1

Edgar Pons (AGR Team) in Moto2™ (photo1) and David Salvador (Cuna de Campeones) in the European Talent Cup (photo2) took the poles in their respective categories in the latest round of the FIM CEV Repsol at the Circuito de Jerez. Gabriel Durán (Centro Moto) took pole and won the first race of the European Kawasaki Z Cup. Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) posted the best time in the Moto2™ European Championship, a 1:42.513 achieved in QP1, beating Edgar Pons by just 13 thousandths. However, the Wimu CNS Team rider suffered a 12-position penalty for a technical irregularity related to his bike, leaving first place to the AGR Team rider. In the end, Lukas Tulovic (Team Wimu CNS), third in the qualifying session, will start second followed by Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior), who suffered a hard fall on Friday. European Superstock 1000 Championship no longer to continue into 2019

FIM Europe and Dorna WSBK Organization have announced that as of 2019 the European Superstock 1000 Championship will no longer be part of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. After 19 seasons of successful racing in around Europe, with 17 different champions and six different manufacturers taking titles in the class, the decision to not continue the series, has been made following the evolution of technical regulations in WorldSBK over recent years. Looking ahead to the future, the removal of the STK1000 category from the WorldSBK paddock will bring more value to national STK championships around Europe.
