International Classic GP Cup at Rijeka (Croatia)

The fourth round of the ICGP Championship took place at the Grobnik circuit in Croatia.
Free practice on Thursday saw a persistent rain throughout the day and only few riders took part.
Timed practices:
In 350cc Mike Edwards (ACU) leader of the championship snatched the pole position followed by Guillaune Foureau (FFM) and Jean Paul Lecointe (FFM) Richard Peers Jones (ACU) and Wolfgang Voelk (DMSB) complete the top 5.

In 250cc Stefan Tennstadt (DMSB) takes the pole followed by Don Gilbert (ACU) and Colin Sleigh (ACU), Mark Rogers (ACU) and Grant Boxhall (MMA) completed the top 5.

Race 1 – In a sunny day Peers Jones does the hole shot followed by Mike Edwards and Guillaume Foureau, Peter Linden and Wolfgang Voelk. Behind Stefan Tennstadt on the 250 Rotax Bakker takes the lead of the 250cc class followed by Colin Sleigh and Don Gilbert.
Peter Linden and Eric Saul are forced to abandon for mechanical problem. Edwards wins in front of Jean Paul Lecointe and Guillaume Foureau. In 250 Gilbert wins ahead of Sleigh and Tennstadt.

Race 2 – The race is declared wet. Mike Edwards leads on Richard Peers Jones and Jean Paul Lecointe. Stefan Tennstadt with the 250 Bakker Rotax is just behind. Behind Edwards the fight rages – Jean Paul Lecointe because of the fog in his helmet cannot keep up with the rhythm, and is passed by Stefan Tennstadt in the last corner. Edwards wins ahead of Richard Peers Jones and Jean Paul Lecointe. Edwards wins also the championship in 350 cc.
In 250 Stefan Tennstadt wins ahead of Colin Sleigh who wins the championship. Don Gilbert on the Exactweld after a bad start goes up and finishes 3rd.

The next and last ICGP race will be on the circuit of Almleria on October 14/15th.
