EMX 65 and 85 SW zone at Vesoul (France)

The second round of EMX 65 and 85 SW zone were held at Vesoul, in France, in front of 2.500 spectators.
On Saturday, practices were held under good conditions. The ranking leaders showed their good shape in qualifying races.
Italian Ferruccio Zanchi in EMX 65 and Spanish David Braceras in EMX 85 group A, did win their respective qualifying race. In EMX 85 group B, Eddie Jay Wade from Great Britain was victorious.
Rainfall turned the EMX85 LCQ into a difficult exercise, nevertheless top 4 ended within a 1 second gap with Italian Massimo Palombini as the fastest rider.

On Sunday, the rain of the evening before created difficult track conditions for the EMX riders.
David Braceras was fastest in EMX 85 WUP and unfortunately the EMX 65 WUP had to be stopped after the first lap because the riders could not ride the slopes.
For the EMX 65 heats the track was shortened to allow racing.
The podium of EMX 85

EMX85 Race 1 – The muddy track required a lot of courage and excellent riding skills from all riders as being fast was simply not enough. With a really good performance French rider Simon Depoers clinched victory in this first heat in front of David Braceras and Eddie Jay Wade.

EMX85 Race 2 – With a track drying up and developing to normal conditions, Race 2 turned out to be really attractive, with riders battling out for almost all positions. At the end David Braceras won in front of Pietro Razzini and Raul Sanchez.
Braceras was also the best in the overall before Pietro Razzini who finished second and Eddie Jay Wade grabbed third position overall.
Thus Braceras could also fortify his lead at the series ranking.

The podium of EMX 65

EMX65 Race 1 – Even on a shortened track with some dry sections, the EMX 65 boys were pushing to the maximum of their abilities. Italian rider Ferruccio Zanchi showed that he is able to perform well under all conditions and lead the race from start to finish really earning a well deserved win in front of Antonio Gallego and Alejandro Perez.

EMX65 Race 2 – Under a threatening cloud deck, the second Race EMX 65 started and offered the spectators an interesting show as it stayed on dry track. In top positions Italian and Spanish riders battled for top positions.
At the end Italy prevailed with Ferruccio Zanchi winning the second heat before Spanish rider Antonio Gallego and Italian youngster Alessandro Gaspari.
With his victory Ferruccio Zanchi increases his lead at the Series ranking.

The third round will be held in Fernao Joanes, Portugal, on 27-28 May.
