The third round with two races of the FIM Europe Road Racing Supermono Cup was held this weekend at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg / Austria. Friday was sunny and very hot, Saturday, the weather conditions was cloudy and later rain.
The first race was won by Austrian Lukas Wimmer, followed by two Dutch riders Mike Velthujzen and Jerry Van de Bunt. Velthujzen managed to win in the second race in front of Wimmer and Dutch Ricard van Duijn. The provisional rankings see the leadership of Wimmer with 70 points, in front of German Frank Bruntrup with 54.
The next event will take place from Friday 22nd to 25nd August on the Circuit of Oschersleben / Germany
