The Snowmobile Enduro European Cup had its start in Karstula, Finland were the first race was held in good weather conditions: about 0°Celsius and a little bit of snow in the air, but the snow on the ground was soft and deep enough in most of the track.
The first racing day scheduled 4 different special stages: the first stage was also like a prologue to set the starting order of the riders for the rest of the day.
Everything run according to plans but there was some water on the ice of the lakes, which made life difficult to the riders.
Among the riders, there were 63 from Finland, Estonia and Sweden, 6 women rider and 1 junior.
