European Vintage Road Race Championship at Donington Park (Great Britain)

The UK round of the FIM Europe Vintage Road Race Championship was organised by the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club and held under sunny skies at the Donington Park Classic Motorcycle Festival. The former Moto GP circuit served up some brilliant racing over three days, thrilling a big crowd of spectators.
The first set of races saw class wins for:
Class 2 Stuart McDonald (Bultaco),
Class 3 Charles Murdoch (Honda),
Class 4 Tomas Karlsson (Yamaha)
Class 5 Roel Pasop (Triumph),
Class 6 Alan Major (Triumph),
Class 7a Mike Smith (Triumph )
Class 7b Mike Smith (Yamaha).

Conditions for racing remained ideal for the second set of races and the results were similar to the first set of races except that Bernd Pollman took the Class 4 win on his immaculate Aermacchi after race 1 winner Tomas Karlsson retired his 350cc Yamaha.
The Championship moves to the former Grand Prix Rijeka circuit in Croatia for the final round of 2018. Tanja Hentschel has secured the class 2 Championship with a round to go and Bernd Pollman the Class 4 Championship, but the other seven Championships will not be decided until Rijeka.
