European Under23 Team Speedway Championship: Germany hosted the QR

The Qualifying round of the European Under23 Team Speedway Championship took place in Stralsund, Germany. The city is located at the southern coast of the Strelasund, a sound of the Baltic Sea separating the island of RĂ¼gen from the Pomeranian mainland.

In a sunny day Teams from the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Sweden and Germany fought to qualify for the Final. In the end, the tournament was won by the Swedish team, which beat the Czech team by 9 points. Third place went to the UK team.

Jan Kvech (Czech Republic) was the best rider of the day with 13 points. Casper Henriksson was awarded the mayor’s prize for his victory in the final race, in which the top competitors competed.

Now eyes on the Final, that will take place on July 22nd in Macon, France.
