The European Motoball Games are going on in Cameret and Valreas, in France. In Day5, on Monday July 31st, five matches were held.
The Junior Teams of Russia and Germany won their matches against France today and went into the Final, which will start today at 14.00 at Camaret.
As for the Senior class, the first participant of the 2017 European Motoball Final is Russia. In a tight, high level match, Russia had the longer breath under the hot sun in Camaret. So Germany will take part to the match for the 3rd place, missing the Final for the first time since many years of presence.
After the match of 19.30, the 2017 Final of the European Motoball Championship is complete: Russia and France will play the Final on August 1st 2017 at 20:30 in Camaret while Belarus and Germany will contend the third position in the match which will be held today at 16:00.
1.Semi-Final 16:00 – Russia – Germany 6:3
Germany had the better start and went in front with a 16m free kick after 2 minutes, but Russia compensated by using a rebound to score. In the second Quarter Russia scored from far distance to 2:1. After the half time Russia increased to 3:1, but Germany was fighting back and shortened the result to 3:2. After 60 minutes in the hot sun of South France the physical strength of the Russian Team made the difference and Russia scored 3 times in the first 10 minutes. The last goal of the Russians was really a dream goal – after a pass over 30 meters it was a volley to the left upper corner. In the last minute Germany scored once more but it was not enough for the final result.
2.Semi-Final 20:30 -France – Belarus 8:3
France scored for the first time after a rebound in the 3rd minute and for the second time after a high pass over the defence, with a volley into the corner. In the second Quarter the French Team scored 2 more goals, but Belarus shortened to 4:1 in the last minute. After the break Belarus scored their second goal and got closer. But France scored as well and kept the distance. At the end France scored twice more and Belarus shortened via penalty again to 7:3. In the last minute France scored to 8:3 and followed Russia into the Final.
