European Motoball in France (Day 2)

The European Motoball Games are going on in Cameret and Valreas, in France. In Day 2 three matches were held Russia-Belarus, Germany-Belarus and France-Germany. The match between The Netherlands and Ukraine was postponed to Sunday July 30th at 11 am since some players of the Ukraine team had problems with the Visa and did not arrive in time. “I want to thank the Dutch team for their understanding and cooperation”, commented Thomas Staudt, Jury President of the European Motoball Championship 2017 and vice-president of the FIM Europe Motoball Commission. “Since the match was moved we decided to reschedule the time of the match between Germany and Belarus to 17:30”.

4th Game 15:00 – Russia – Belarus 5:0
Russia started the day with their first players’ selection and put Belarus under pressure from the beginning. The Belarus team, which is starting to integrate young players was good in defence and Russia needed some time to score the first time. During both 1st and 2nd Quarter Russia scored twice, so that they could give players from the second row a chance to play. They scored once more in the 3rd Quarter so that the final result was 5:0.

5th Game 17:30 – Germany – Belarus 2:2
The first period of the march was embossed by tactics and none of the teams was able to score. In the 2nd Quarter the Belarus team scored one point and passed ahead and increased to 2:0 at the beginning of the 3rd Quarter. But some minutes later Germany shortened the gap to 1:2. The last Quarter was a real thriller in which Germany compensated the result and pushed for another goal. But without success.

6th Game 20:00 – France – Germany 2:0
The match between France and Germany was dominated by fights at and above the limit, so that the referees were demanded and during this match they were forced to impose several time penalties. Until the half time it was a balanced match with many chances on both sides. In the 3rd Quarter France scored with a perfect goal – a player passed a ball in full speed to the right side and his teammate hammered the ball volley into the corner. Germany attacked more and more and put France under pressure, but a fast action of the French team in the last Quarter brought to the final result.
