On a really fine racetrack at Lokomotive Stadion of Daugavpils, in Latvia 16 young rider under 21 years, all nearly on the same level, signed a spectacular final with close and hard race.
The races were performed in front of 3.500 spectators, who in the end could see the rider Robert Lambert from Great Britain become the new European champion, with Bartosz Smektale from Polen and Andreas Lyager from Denmark immediately behind him. Russian rider Gleb Chuganov finished at the 4th place after a rerun with Andreas Lyager from Denmark.
