EMX 2018 Calendar New Update

The recently announced change in the MXGP calendar also leads to an update of the European Motocross Championship schedule.
Youthstream and FIM Europe announce that the round of the EMX250 championship scheduled in Valkenswaard, Netherlands will move to Agueda, Portugal and vice versa the round of EMX300 will move to Valkenswaard.

As Valkenswaard will be the opening European event and considering the high rider turnout expected in both EMX250 and EMX125 combining the 2 major classes, this change could lead to an improved schedule that is meant to assure the best outcomes for each event.
«For logistical reasons, the EMX250 round scheduled to be at Valkenswaard next year has been moved to Agueda, Portugal on 14/15 April and the EMX300 scheduled for Agueda has been moved to Valkenswaard on 24/25 March. This change will help the registration and document checks at the first rounds of EMX125 and EMX250», commented Mr Eddie Herd, Chairman of the FIM Europe Motocross & Snowcross Commission.
«Also I am pleased to confirm that the parity with 2strokes and 4strokes in EMX250 will continue and will also apply to EMX Women. Both of these classes in 2018 are open to motorcycles of Cat.1, Group 1, over 175cc and up to 250cc for 2 stroke and 4 stroke with a minimum age limit of 14 years old. The EMX Women is also open to 2 stroke motorcycles up to 125cc with a minimum age limit of 13 years old», stated Mr Eddie Herd.
