First race was dominated by the runner-up of the 2012 season: Dutch Devon Vermeulen (KTM) took the holeshot and lead the race from start to finish. French rider Frederic Guerin (Suzuki) pressed Vermeulen to make a mistake for the complete 15 laps of the race but was unable to make a pass and saw himself on the second place. Third step of the podium went to Malachi Mitchell-Thomas from Great Britain (TM). Second race started after the same scenario: Vermeulen (KTM) managing to start in front of the pack with Guerin (Suzuki) close on his tracks. In the third lap Vermeulen makes a braking mistake and parts the track for a short while but manages to get back and maintain his position. Few laps later Guerin closed the gap
