Speedway European Championship: Robert Lambert rules the first round After the long lockdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak, finally this weekend the Speedway European Championship kicked off in Torun, Poland, with a new calendar based on five rounds. The meeting was raced in a sunny day: rider Robert Lambert claimed his victory after a brave attack on the last bend of the final heat when he defeated the local favourite Bartosz Smektała, fourth. Second position for the Danish Nicki Pedersen and third for Leon Madsen. The next round will be on 08th July in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The standing:

Poland hosts TAURON Speedway Euro Championship An unprecedented situation in the world of speedway just becomes reality. Poland will host five rounds of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2020. For the first time in history the entire Individual European Championship series will be held in one country. Due to recent events caused by COVID-19, TAURON SEC promotors decided, that all rounds of this year's competition will be held in Poland. What's more, instead of the conventional four rounds, this time, riders will participate in a five-round series. Toruń (inaugural and final round), Bydgoszcz, Gniezno and Rybnik were selected as host cities of the Individual European Championship 2020. Because of the current difficult situation, qualification rounds and SEC Challenge have to be cancelled. This season the participating riders, were selected by national federations to represent their countries at the Individual European Championships. With that being said, Mikkel Michelsen will defend the title.

Individual Speedway Euro Championship: Mikkel Michelsen is the new champion Final 4 for the Individual Speedway Euro Championship on 28th September in Chorzow, Poland. Home hero Paweł Przedpełski impressed the crowd with a phenomenal start, which gave him three heat wins. Grigorii Laguta started this meeting from “zero”, but three heat wins let the Russian rider go through to the race-off, where he was third. In case of Mikkel Michelsen's win in the final, title would be decided in an additional heat: that’s exactly what happened. Michelsen came as first, having Madsen and Przedpełski behind his back. Next to an additional heat for gold, fans witnessed another one for bronze, where Kacper Woryna faced Leon Madsen. In the main heat of the night we had the battle for the gold: Michelsen vs Laguta. European Under21 Team Speedway Championship - Final: Poland wins the title After the cancellation of the meeting in Macon on 20th July, the European Under21 Team Speedway Championship Final meeting was race on 28th September in Lamothe Landerron, France. Polish U21 team have confirmed their role as favorites wining the team title at the end of an amazing fight up to the last heat. In fact after the last programmed heat Polish and Danish team were equal on points: an additional heat was needed and Jakub Miskowiak from Poland was better than Danish rider Jonas Seifer-Salk. The final classification: 1. Poland 2. Denmark 3. Sweden

European Pairs Speedway Championship: the Final in Russia Amazing final for the European Pairs Speedway Championship on 29th August in Balakovo in front of over 10.000 spectators. For the first time in sixteen years the race took place in Russia. The host nation confirmed the role of favorite and in the line-up Viktor Kulakov, Grigorii Laguta and Vladimir Borodulin won the title for the first time in history. Second place for Czech Republic and third for Latvia. Final classification: 1. Russia 2. Czech Republic 3. Latvia 4. France 5. Poland

European U21 Individual Speedway Championship: the Final in Ukraina Polish rider Wiktor Lampart is the new champion of the European U21 Individual Speedway Championship. The final race took place in Rivne, Ukraina, on 31st August. Silver medal for the Russian Roman Lachbaum and third step of the podium for Mads Hansen from Denmark. Lampart ran before the last series and in the fifth start needed two points to secure the championship title: he reached the finish line third and Roman Lachbaum took the top three. Therefore, the title of Junior European Champion had to be decided by an additional last thrilling race at the end of which the victory went to Lampart. Final classification: 1. Wiktor Lampart, Poland 2. Roman Lachbaum, Russia 3. Mads Hansen, Denmark

European 250cc Youth Speedway Cup: the final The European 250cc Youth Speedway Cup moved from Pardubice to Divisov, Czech Republic, for the season finale. The final lasted almost 4 hours and was full of excellent racing but also accidents. The track conditions were demanding and the riders from eight different countries had a tough race. In the end the experience of Jesper Knudsen let him won in front of Mathias Pollestad (for just one point) and Erik Bachhuber. European 250cc Youth Speedway Cup: Semi Final 1 and 2 Meeting full of attractive heats for the Semi Final 1 and 2 of the European 250cc Youth Speedway Cup, raced on 17th August in Pardubice, Czech Republic. The results of the first Semi Final were decided after 3 run off and the winner was Erik Bachhuber. In the second Semi Final the winner was Casper Henriksson. Individual Speedway Euro Championship: Final 3 Mikkel Michelsen won the third round of the Individual Speedway Euro Championship, which was held in Vojens, Denmark. Kacper Woryna was the runner-up and the last spot on the podium was taken by Nicki Pedersen. First series of starts was filled with many impressive actions on track. Fans gathered at the stands in Vojens witnessed lots of overtakes, including the one by former Euro Champion Andzejs Lebedevs, who overtook Bartosz Smektała at the very last metres. Track reserves also impressed – Fredrik Jakobsen and Andreas Lyager caused a lot of troubles to Mikkel Michelsen. In the second series of starts, we still had tons of emotions. Probably, the most interesting heat was the sixth one with a perfect start by Frederik Jakobsen. Dane was leading through two laps, but was overtaken by very fast Kai Huckenbeck. At the last metres, Jakobsen lost his position
