Third round of Extreme Enduro in Kilsbergen (Sweden)

The third race of Extreme Enduro European Cup was held yesterday in Kilsbergen just outside Örebro in Sweden. The track was about 10km long and had a lot of difficulties, both natural and built up obstacles. The weather was sunny and about 30 degrees celsius and the race time was 4 hours. There was a prologue on Friday afternoon to decide starting order, and Jonny Walker (GBR) had the best time followed by Joakim Ljunggren (Sweden) and today the riders started after the results from the prologue with 10 sec distance between each rider. Jonny Walker took the advantage to start first and never let anybody come close and was first all the way to the finish, second was Joakim Ljunggren and third Graham Jarvis (GBR). EMX150 Motocross European Championship in Loket (Czech Republic)

Albie Wilkie took his fourth race win and his third consecutive overall Grand Prix victory in the Honda 150 European Championship in the Czech Republic today with a dominant ride. He took the early lead with a great start on his CRF150R and then never looked back, delivering a succession of fastest laps to steam away from the pack in a class of his own. Combined with his second place finish in yesterday’s race, he takes the overall victory in the Honda 150 European Championship at the MXGP of the Czech Republic. In a reversal of yesterday’s race, this time it was championship rival Jere Haavisto who had the comeback to make after he crashed on the first corner and found himself in 14th. Fighting back through the pack, he minimised the points-damage of Wilkie’s win by finishing an impressive second, just ahead of Albin Larsen who took his fourth

EMX125 in Loket (Czech Republic)

It was a test of the best for the riders who lined up here in Czech Republic for the penultimate round of the European Championship EMX125 with the battlefield being steep and very hard packed. After dominating both races for his third consecutive overall victory, Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Brian Hsu proved to be the master of throttle control, body position and balance today as the rest of his competition strove to find traction up and down the hills of Loket on their light and nimble 125cc two stroke machines. Supermono European Cup round in Red Bull Ring, Spielberg (Austria)

The third round with two races of the FIM Europe Road Racing Supermono Cup was held this weekend at the Red Bull Ring - Spielberg / Austria. Friday was sunny and very hot, Saturday, the weather conditions was cloudy and later rain. The first race was won by Austrian Lukas Wimmer, followed by two Dutch riders Mike Velthujzen and Jerry Van de Bunt. Velthujzen managed to win in the second race in front of Wimmer and Dutch Ricard van Duijn. The provisional rankings see the leadership of Wimmer with 70 points, in front of German Frank Bruntrup with 54. FIM Europe first Executive Board Meeting

Among the questions faced, it was considered important to start immediately operationalactivities within FIM Europe, dealing with the most relevant issues of the current managementand, most importantly, starting to plan future activities both for the sport and for the non-sportmatters. The economic and financial situation was also analyzed in order to make the availableresources congruent with the final phase of the sports season and with future programs.The current FIM

Individual Speedway EC Final 2 in Togliatti (Russia)

The second Final of the 2014 FIM Europe Speedway European Championship (SEC) took part in Togliatti (Russia) on a nice evening of the 6th of July 2014. 9.000 spectators have seen a very spectacular, hard and fair speedway event. The atmosphere of the stadium was fantastic. Russian public was very keen. The SEC Final has been broadcasted live by EUROSPORT all over the world and was a perfect advertising for European Speedway sport. The victory went to Nicki Pedersen / Denmark followed by the local hero Emil Sayfutdinov and the Polish Patryk Dudek. Supermoto EC in Castelletto di Branduzzo(Italy)

Sunny Italy welcomed the European SuperMoto riders in the all asphalt circuit of Castelletto di Branduzzo, offering a one day event in extremely hot conditions, typical for the season. Race 1 of the SM2 for the GP of Europe began not in the best way for the winner of the pole position Yuri Guardala from Italy. Due to outside assistance at the grid he was disqualified from the race in question. However, the Italian performed at a top level and at the second race he proved his style and ambitions this season. Road Racing Hill Climbing EC round in St. Denis (Switzerland)

The third round with two races of the Road Racing Hill Climb European Championship was held this weekend at Chatel - St. Denis in Swiss. This event was held for the second time in Switzerland. On Saturday, the weather conditions was cloudy and later rain. Afternoon was strong rain and the practice on Sunday morning must be delayed for one hour. EMX250 and EMX350 rounds in Hyvinkaa (Finland)

The sixth round of the EMX250 and EMX300 Motocross European Championships were held this weekend in the Finnish track of Hyvinkää. Next round for both classes is scheduled in Dutch track of Lommer on the 3rd of August. EMX250Sand always throws a spanner in the works, as it requires a type of motocrossing finesse to ride. With today being the semi-final round of the EMX250 championship, and the final being in the dunes of Lommel in three weeks time, the Dutch riders, known for their superior sand riding ability, took full advantage of banking crucial championship points. Yesterday, Creymert Racing’s Brent Van Doninck banked his first lot of twenty-five points when he took the checkers ahead of HSF Logistics Motorsport Team’s Brian Bogers and Kemea Yamaha Racing’s Nick Kouwenberg. Final of EMX65 and EMX85 in Hyvinkaa (Finland)

After the 4 regional qualification rounds, the final of the EMX65 and EMX85 Motocross European Championship was held in the Finnish circuit in Hyvinkää, which embodies one of the most mentally and physically demanding terrains in our sport, sand. Young Russian Nikita Kucherov was crowned as the new European Champion in the EMX65. Watching those little 12” wheels tearing through the sand on a full blown MXGP circuit was astonishing, as was the speed and poise of the eventual EMX65 champion Nikita Kucherov from Russia who rode impressive in both races to be crowned champion with a second place in race one and a win in race two this morning. Landing on the second step of the podium, young Swede Noel Nilsson was clearly the fastest kid on the track.
