Full agenda for FIM Europe President in Rome on 18th September: Dr. Wolfgang Srb started his day with his official settlement in his Italian office, where his staff and Secretary General work. During the day, Dr. Srb had two important meetings, with President of the European Weightlifting Federation Mr. Antonio Urso and Prof. Fabio Pigozzi, President of the International Sports Medicine Federation and Rector of the State University of Rome “Foro Italico”. The cooperation between FIM Europe and the European Weightlifting Federation had already started last February, with a Workshop on Weight Training for motorcycling riders, reserved to FIME FMNs Trainers, in the Austrian city of Graz. The two disciplines, in fact, have several points in common, and they reveal complementary in training, since weightlifting allows riders to increase their strength without augmenting muscular mass, and therefore weight. FIM Europe meeting licence working group

The main subject of a meeting that was held today in Tiber Hotel in Rome, and which involved a dedicated working group, coordinated by FIM Europe President, Dr. Wolfgang Srb, was to simplify and to harmonize the license systems in benefit of riders, federations and CONUs.The working group was composed by Martin De Graaff, FIM Europe First Deputy President and Sporting Council President, Kurt Ljungqvist, SML Secretary General, Roy Wetterstad, Secretary General of Norwegian Federation, Stijn Rentmeesters, Secretary General of Belgian Federation, Jochen Schaefer, responsible for Motorcyclism Sport in German Federation, Sébastien Poirier, General Director of French Federation, Vincent Chaumet-Riffaud, Sport Director of French Federation, Alberto Rinaldelli, Secretary General of Italian Federation, Alessandro Sambuco, Secretary General of FIM Europe, and Silvia Monatti, secretary of the working group.The working group discussed a renewed system of FIM licences, CONU licenses and international open events.The proposals will be brought to FIM Europe management

Last round of Supermoto EC in Jesolo (Italy)

The last round of 214 FIM Europe Supermoto European championship took place in Jesolo (Italy). With three riders in battle for the 2014 championship title a tough battle was expected. And the expectations come true. Finn Toni Klem (KTM) set the best time in Time practice on saturday, with Italian Fabrizio Bartolini (Honda) just behind him. And both faster than championship leader, Finn Asseri Kingelin (Aprilia). In race one there was a big battle in the first corners and Bartolini took the lead. On the second place was Klem and on third Slovenian Uros Nastran (TM). Two laps to go Nastran overtook Klem, who then crashed on the off road part, but still manage to pick up the bike and finished third, just in front of Kingelin. So before the last race of the season difference between Klem and Bartolini was reduced to only 6 points. In the race 2

Enduro European Championship in Uhlirske Janovice (Czech Republic)

With a second place in the final day of the last round of the enduro-european-championship in Uhlirske Janovice / CZ, the Italian Maurizio Micheluz defended his Overall-title! “Why do we always have to race in rain and mud,” asked the Suzuki-rider bevore, because he knows, that this kind of conditions preferably the Englishman. But his greatest competitor, the Brit Tom Sagar, was fighting with technical problems on second day: His chain jumped away and this costs him more than 40 seconds in the special-test. So Sagars fellow countryman, Steve Holcombe, repeated his success from the first day and was again fastest rider of all classes. In addition this weekend where fight out for the national rankings – these were won by the british riders in the National-Team and in the Juniors! Pata European Junior Cup in Jerez (Spain)

Josh Harland (Josh Harland Racing) won today’s 10 lap Pata European Junior Cup race at Jerez after a thrilling battle from lights that was decided for a split of a second between eight riders at the finish line. Angelo Licciardi (S.E.F.A.B Racing) and Illan Fernandez (Evo Kids Racing) completed the podium, with Javier Orellana (Europe Food SL) in fourth place ahead of Mika Perez (Cuna de Campeones). Sixth place Augusto Fernandez (Wil Sport) now needs only one point at Magny-Cours to grab the EJC title. European Superstock 600cc in Jerez (Spain)

Marco Faccani (San Carlo Team Italia) has won the Saturday European Superstock 600c race at Jerez (Spain) and with it the 2014 championship. Starting from Pole Position he and Federico Caricasulo (Evan Bros Racing Team) were soon over three seconds clear of the chasing pack, leaving the duo to fight for the victory. In the end it was Faccani who has been at the front of all of the races bar one this year who claimed his fifth win of the year ahead of his compatriot who himself notched up his 3rd podium of the season. The final podium place was decided in favour of Gauthier Duwelz (MVR Racing Team) after a race long duel saw him edge out Andrea Tucci (San Carlo Team Italia) who finished 4th. Maxxis European Quad in Morso (Denmark)

On the very nice MotoCross Arena in Erslev-Morso (Denmark) inside small hills, where spectators can see nearly total track. The 100. Birthday of DMU has been celebrated with nearly all MX classes national, from 50cc Kids up to MX1 and Side Cars. The European Quads Series final race came on top of it. Saturday suffered under very strong rain, so after free practice the practice and Qualifying sessions had been cancelled! The Sunday morning qualifying practice saw 25 quads fighting for the best positions behind the starting grid. Best time did Edgars Mengelis, Lavia, with 2:16,876 min, but he had been punished 5 places back because of stopping on the track. So Olli Koskela got 1st position, Second best was Mike van Grinsven, and third got Casper H. Holm, Denmark. In Heat 1, holeshot went to Nr. 92, Olli Koskela.
