UDDEVALLA (Sweden), 05 July 2015 – The rocky hillside of Uddevalla worked as a grandstand to the thousands of fans who came out to watch the fourth and sixth rounds of the European Championships EMX250 and EMX300 where Bud Racing Kawasaki’s Maxime Desprey and Italian Marco Maddii uncorked yet another bottle of bubbles on the top step of the podium. European Moto2 and Superbike in Aragon (Spain)

Accompanied by high temperatures - and seven thousand fans over the weekend - Pons and Morales celebrated victories in the Moto2 European Championship and Superbike European Championship races disputed today at MotorLand Aragon. Today was the fourth event and midpoint of the season, so riders were looking for points to get a good position in the overall table.MOTO2In the Moto2 both wins and the "Repsol free fuel voucher” prizes went to Edgar Pons (SPA-Kalex, in the photo above), whose victories were more of a parade than anything else. In the first round, a comfortable advantage of more than three seconds over his pursuers allowed him to cross the finish line alone. FIM Europe Congress in Malta Day 3

The 21st FIM Europe Congress in Malta finished successfully today with the Meetings of the Sporting and Non-Sporting Councils, the Management Council as well as the General Assembly in the afternoon. There were 38 National Federations present and over 250 delegates. Important decisions were taken, among them the approval of the 2014 Balance-sheet, of the 2015 Budget and the election of one auditor (Mr Tapio Nevala from Finland), additions to the Sporting Code as well as to the Disciplinary and Arbitration Code. Comprehensive reports have been presented about the Sporting as well the Non-Sporting activities. The General Assembly approved the bid of the Luxembourg Federation to organise the 2017 FIM Europe Congress in the city of Luxembourg. “I am very pleased with the results of the Congress in Malta”, Dr Wolfgang Srb stated. “Important decisions for the future of FIM Europe have been taken. FIM Europe Congress in Malta Day 2

As scheduled, the Management Council was held, so as the Meetings of the Commissions and Panels. In the afternoon, the Road Safety Conference took place, which was very successful, with big attendance of delegates and media. The day ended with the traditional meeting of the Secretaries General, where various issues were discussed, like insurance and licences. Today the 21th FIM Europe Congress kicked off in the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Malta. As scheduled, the program started with the meetings of the Sporting and Non-Sporting Council, where relevant issues were discussed with the chairmen of the various Commissions.The whole day the delegates continued to arrive at the Hotel, where the Congress is being held. FIM Europe Congress: ready to start

Everything is ready for the start of the 21st edition of the FIM Europe Congress in Malta. The organisation of such an event is not an easy task and it starts already the day after the end of the previous annual Congress. The FIM Europe staff arrived yesterday in Malta and started organising the practical aspects of the Meeting, which will start tomorrow, July 2nd, to last up to July 4th. With the support of ASMK, the Assocjaz-zjoni Sport Muturi u Karozzi, which is going to host the Congress, today the FIM Europe staff welcomed the first 50 delegates. Within tomorrow morning 200 more delegates will arrive, to represent a whole of 38 National Motorcycling Federations. Brian Moreau Strubhart Perfect racing conditions at Crossodromo des Lajes today for the fourth and final round of the EMX85 and EMX65 European Motocross Championships of the South-West Zone. EMX85 ccFirst race of the EMX85 saw a beautiful battle for the first position, two French riders being the main focus of the race: Brian Moreau Strubhart (Kawasaki) and Thibault Benistant (Husqvarna). At first it was the Husqvarna rider who took the leadership of the race but he was not able to hold on Strubhart who made the pass and went on to win the race. The start of EMX65 On the beautiful track of Globare, near the city of Krusevac in Serbia, the last round of SE zone European Motocross Championship in classes EMX65 and 85 was held this weekend.   EMX65ccIn qualifying race a great battle was held among three riders: Dimitar Grozdanov, Marius Popovici and Antonis Sagmalis. Grozdanov was leading almost all race when his engine broke.  Qualifying winner was Popovici from Romania in front of Greek Sagmalis and home rider Krsmanovic.In the first race Antonis Sagmalis, second in the championship, won the first heat in front of Bulgarian Dimitar Grozdanov and Marius Popovici.In the second heat we saw a jump start of Dimitar Grozdanov, winner of the first heat. Battle for first place was held between Marius Popovici and Antonis Sagmalis. The Danish rider Anders Thomsen won in front of his compatriot Mikkel Brondum Andersen, while Victor Palovaara, from Sweden, finished the race on the third step of the podium.
