European Motocross Championship Open Calendar Update

Despite best efforts made by FIM Europe and for reasons outside of its control, it is with great regret that the Ucraine Motorcycling Federation has had to cancel the round of European Motocross Championship that was scheduled to be held at Kiev 24-26 April 2015. The event will be held in the same date at Senkvice, thanks to the proposal of the Slovakian Federation to combine it with their EMX65/85 round.  The updated calendar has now been changed to the following:

European Supermoto S2 Calendar Update

The European Supermoto S2 Championship has been updated: the event in Tabasalu (EST), scheduled on 30th August has been cancelled and will not be replaced. Other changes in bold in the 2015 updated calendar below: the event in Italy, scheduled on 26th April, will be held in Ottobiano; on 7th June the event will be held in Poznam in Poland; the event originally set to take place in Jesolo (Italy) on 20th September, will now be held in Melk (Austria).   The updated calendar has now been changed to the following:

Honda – FIM Europe Training Camp in Albaida

Also this year, and for the third time, the FIM Europe has collaborated with Honda for the evaluation and training of the young riders of the MX 150 4S. The Training Camp was held in Albaida (SPA) on 14th and 15th March with the participation of 33 young riders coming from 15 different Countries. Across the two days the riders were able to get to grips with the four-stroke CRF150R with track time alongside series coach Gordon Crockard and Honda World Supersport rider Kyle Smith. The two trainers took the riders round the track in small groups to help them improve their riding style, lap time and bike position. Team HRC sporting manager Jean-Michel Bayle and Team HRC MXGP rider Gautier Paulin also joined Crockard and Smith on the track to help guide and advise the youngsters.  Spanish motocross rider Jorge Zaragoza was also present on the Saturday to share

Honda 150 European Championship Training Camp

This weekend, 14-15 March, sees youngsters from across Europe head to the Training Camp for the Honda 150 European Championship, where they will meet their 2015 rivals for the first time, spend time getting to know the Honda CRF150Rs and receive expert guidance at this crucial point in their formative careers.Honda has made available a wealth of talent from across its motocross stable to assist with guiding and nurturing these aspiring racers. Joining the Training Camp will be Gautier Paulin (Team HRC MXGP star), Jean-Michel Bayle (HRC Sporting Manager) and Jorge Zaragoza (Honda Gariboldi Racing MX2 rider), all of whom who will be on hand to provide advice and answer any questions they may have. MACEC celebrates 10th anniversary

The General Assembly of MACEC (Motorcycle Association of Central European Countries) was held on 7th March 2015 in Kaunas (Lithuania). It had particular character as it was 10th jubilee meeting in the history of MACEC. FIM Europe President Dr Wolfgang Srb addressed a letter to all participants of the Congress. He stressed the important role of regional associations for development of motorcycle sports and tourism in Europe. During the MACEC General Assembly meeting the results of 2014 MACEC Cup in the disciplines spe­­­­edway, motocross, enduro, extreme enduro and trial were approved. The MACEC Cup calendar for 2015 was approved. The participants highly evaluated the cooperation of their federations during the 2014 FIM Europe General Assembly in Cracow and 2014 FIM General Assembly in Jerez de la Frontera. They decided to address FIM Europe to take into account the regional associations in the process of applying for FIM grants.During the meeting

FIM Europe 2nd Workshop on Leadership

FIM Europe will organize the 2nd Workshop on Leadership, addressed to the leaders of the FMNs Executive Staff: the Secretaries General. After the first, successful, edition, which took place in Maggiora (Italy), in November 2013, the second Workshop will be held in two sessions in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) on 27-29 March and on 22–24 November 2015. Participation and accommodation will be completely free of charge for all participants in the Hotel Sherry Park (www.hotelsherrypark.com). In fact, thanks to the FIM appointment of Jerez as World Capital of Motorcycling, the Municipality of Jerez has granted the opportunity to organize this important workshop without costs for the FIM Europe and the participants of its FMNs.
