Snowmobile Enduro European Cup Champions crowned in Finland

Finland hosted this weekend the Snowmobile Enduro European Cup of the season. In middle of Finland, in Karstula, the weather circumstances were surprisingly good: at the beginning of the week, in fact, it looked like the warm weather would affect the stages. But on Saturday the weather was pretty good with 0° Celsius and on Sunday luckily the rain that was expected came out as snow. On Saturday 63 riders from three different Countries (Finland, Estonia, Sweden) competed in four different special stages for a total of 140 kilometres. After some retirements on Sunday it was 50 riders who fought for the championships at three stages for a total of 110 kilometres. In the end it was 42 riders who managed to cross the finish line.Heli Takkinen from Finland won the Women series, Niki Nummijoki the Junior, Jukka Järvenpää was fastest at the Senior AC class, Lauri Pellonpää at Senior

European Snowcross Championship started in Norway

  The first race of the season of the European Snowcross Championship was held in Granåsen, Trondheim (Norway) today. The whole day was broadcast in live-stream. On a perfectly prepared track, free and qualifying practice sessions were held, and the pole position went to Peter Ericson, from Sweden, ahead of  Kristoffer Holm, from Norway.In the first race the fastest rider was Magnus Sagen Reiten, from Norway, followed by Kristoffer Holm, from Norway, too, with Swedish Peter Ericson in third place.In the second race Peter Ericson was the first over the finish line, in front of Magnus Sagen Reiten and Ole-Herman Hagen Sjøgren from Norway. In the final race today the first rider over the finish line was Peter Ericson followed by Viktor Hertén, from Finlan, ahead of Ole-Herman Hagen Sjøgren.   The Snowmobile Enduro European Cup had its start in Karstula, Finland were the first race was held in good weather conditions: about 0°Celsius and a little bit of snow in the air, but the snow on the ground was soft and deep enough in most of the track. The first racing day scheduled 4 different special stages: the first stage was also like a prologue to set the starting order of the riders for the rest of the day.Everything run according to plans but there was some water on the ice of the lakes, which made life difficult to the riders.Among the riders, there were 63 from Finland, Estonia and Sweden, 6 women rider and 1 junior. European Enduro Championship – Only a few weeks to go before the start

It is only a few weeks to go before the start of the new season of the European Enduro Championship: from Italy to Croatia and from Finland to Germany the way leads all over the European Continent.The start will be in in April in Rieti/Italy - just 100 km North-East from the capital Rome.Then the European Championship will break new ground and will go to Croatia in May: in Buzet,  which is located 50 km West from Rijeka and 50 km South from Triest (Italy).In August the European Championship will take place in the famous Jämsä. This Finnish city, about 230 km North from the capital Helsinki, is well known for its many international events of the past. FIM Europe Drag Racing European Championship Calendar Update

Despite best efforts made by FIM Europe and for reasons outside of their control, it is with great regret that the second round of the Drag Racing European Championship that was scheduled to be held at Alastaro, Finland on 2-5 July 2015 has had to be cancelled. The Finnish Federation (SML) has formally notified FIM Europe that the organiser has withdrawn their application to host this event.The update calendar has now been changed to the following: FIM Europe and FIM Europe Drag Racing Commission are very concerned by this decision, but will be working with all interested parties to reinstate the Finnish round in the 2016 Calendar.
