Zagreb 2019: the FIM Europe Congress started

The time has come.

The FIM Europe Congress officially kicked off today in Zagreb, Croatia, and will take place during the whole weekend at the presence of 39 National Federations.

Today the first meeting: the Sporting and Non-Sporting Councils, with a focus on about the last activities and the upcoming events.

In the Sporting Council relevant issues were discussed with the Chairmen of the various Commissions. The reports of the latest activities of all disciplines were analyzed at the presence of FIM Europe Acting President Martin De Graaff, Mr. Michal Sikora – FIM Europe Treasurer, Mr. Jean-Paul Gombeaud – FIM Sports Director, and Mr. Dirk De Neve – FIM Motocross Commission Coordinator.

The Non Sporting Council analyzed the activities done after the meeting of 19th January with its Chairman Mr. Silvio Manicardi. It pointed several aspects of the Public Affair Commissions out and examined the material that will be presented tomorrow to the Road Safety and Mobility Commission.

Last but not least the Working Group Statutes took place at the end of the day with Mr. De Graaff, Mr. Alessandro Sambuco – Secretary General, Mrs. Silvia Monatti – Secretariat Coordinator, Mr. Gianluca D’Aloja – FMI Representative, Mr. Theodoros Rachiotis – AMOTOE Representative, Mr. Rodolfo Romeo – FIM Europe Legal Advisor and Prof. Marjan Olfers – External Expert. Lots of items passed the table and have been discussed in order to update the last version approved in Monaco in 2012.

Tomorrow the program foresees the meeting of the FIM Europe with the National Federations, the Management Council, Commissions and Panels, the Road Safety & Mobility Conference and the Secretaries General Meeting.

It will be an important weekend full of events for the motorcycling, which will end with the election of the new President between the two candidates: Martin De Graaff and Stelios Korelis.
