Polish champion Łukasz Lonka, 29 years-old, passed away yesterday following to the serious head and spine injury after a crash in the regional championship held last Sunday.

Łukasz was an icon of the Polish motocross: multiple Polish champion, twice third in the European Championship (2008 – EMX Junior; 2010 – EMX Open), four times part of the Polish National Team at the Motocross of Nations (Teutschenthal, Kegums, Ernee, Maggiora).

Last season he raced in the World Championship (MX3), in the European Championship (EMX250) and in many others championship such as MACEC, ADAC, Dutch Masters, ONK, MMCR and others international competitions.

The FIM Europe takes part in the loss and the full sympathy goes out to his family.
