Speedway European Championship: Robert Lambert rules the first round

After the long lockdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak, finally this weekend the Speedway European Championship kicked off in Torun, Poland, with a new calendar based on five rounds.
The meeting was raced in a sunny day: rider Robert Lambert claimed his victory after a brave attack on the last bend of the final heat when he defeated the local favourite Bartosz Smektała, fourth. Second position for the Danish Nicki Pedersen and third for Leon Madsen.
The next round will be on 08th July in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

1. Robert Lambert (Great Britain) – 14 pts

2. Nicki Pedersen (Denmark) – 14 pts

3. Leon Madsen (Denmark) – 12 pts

4. Bartosz Smektała (Poland) – 11 pts
