On a hot sunny day the Semifinal of the European sidecar Championship was held at Roden, in The Netherlands, in the context of the final of the FIM Long track (Final) .12 teams from 5 Countries took part to the event in front of over 2000 spectators. Some very exciting heats were battled out by the riders in both the 8 qualifying heats as well as in B and A final. The Dutch team of Wilfred Detz and Wendy Arling was unbeaten all day long and rightfully took the chequered flag in the A final. The two British teams finished close, in second and third position. The most spectacular heat of the day was arguably the 7th, where British team Berwick-Hopkins and Danish team Frederiksen-Grandt gave life to an incredible battle for the top position. The Danish outfit finished fourth overall.
The next meeting will be the Final held in Wertle Germany on July 21.
