MACEC 2020 General Assembly

The 2020 General Assembly of MACEC (Motorcycle Association of Central European Countries) was held on 7th March Lviv (Ukraine). The following member federations were present: BFMS (Belarus), FMRM (Moldova) FMU (Ukraine), FRM (Romania), PZM (Poland) and SMF (Slovakia). MACEC President Andrzej Grodzki opened the meeting, welcomed all participants – among them the 1st Vice President Michal Sikora and FIM Europe Honorary Vice President Andrzej Witkowski. FMU President Vadym Kopylov welcomed everybody, expressed his satisfaction to host the MACEC General Assembly in Lviv and wished a fruitful meeting. The MACEC – affiliating 8 European federations – is one of the six Regional Associations in the framework of FIM Europe, the others are: AAMU (Alpe-Adria Motorcycle Union), AAM (Association Méditerranéenne de Motocyclisme), BMA (Baltic Motorcyclists Association), BMU (Balkan Motorcycle Union) and NMC (Nordic Motorsport Council). FIM Europe comprises 46 national federations.
During the meeting the results of the 2019 MACEC Cup in the disciplines Speedway (individual and team), Motocross (65cc, 85cc, MX2, MX1), Enduro (Junior, E1, E2, E3) and Trial (Group A, Group B) were evaluated and approved, as well as the calendar and the sport regulations for 2020. Comprehensive information was given by the representatives of the MACEC federations about their activities. It was agreed that SMF will host 2021 MACEC General Assembly meeting in Slovakia.
FIM Europe 1st Vice President Michał Sikora gave an update on the current situation on FIM Europe and encouraged everybody to participate in the 2020 FIM Europe Congress from 2 to 4 July in Prague (Czech Republic) and 2020 FIM General Assembly and Gala on 21-22 November in Monte Carlo. As a conclusion the delegates thanked the whole FMU and especially its President Vadym Kopylov for the organization of the event in Lviv and their extraordinary hospitality.
