European Super Street Bike Cup in Kunmadaras (Hungary)

Saturday started with 2 qualification heats for the European Super Street Bike Cup in Kunmadaras, which is at its 20th anniversary. On Sunday the organizer managed to schedule 4 qualification rounds, which was appreciated by the riders. The rookie Franklyn Borg from Malta, set the track record at 7,04 sec. which gave him the important number 1 spot in the elimination.  The race started on Monday with cloudy weather and 14 C°.

In the first heat Franklyn Borg, Clemens Walleit, Daniel Lencses, Alex Hope, Richard Stubbins, Mogens Lund and Salvanos Andreas passed to the second heat. The first semifinal was between Franklyn Borg, from Malta and local hero Daniel Lencses, from Hungary. The second semifinal was between Richard Stubbins, from Great Britain and Salvanos Andreas, from Greece. Franklyn Borg and Richard Stubbins went on to the final where Franklyn Borg won, with Richard Stubbins as runner up. The next round is scheduled in Santa Pod, England, from 26 to 29 May.
