The first round of the European Championship EMX 65 and EMX 85 South East Zone was held at Giannitsa, in Greece. 31 riders were present in the two classes. Qualifying was held on a sunny Saturday, races on Sunday, with cloudy weather.
EMX 65 – In the qualifying race – with 14 riders – the winner was Marius Popovici from Romania. Popovici also won both races in front of Matija Sterpin from Croatia and Zoctan Ordog from Romania.
EMX 85 – In the qualifying race – with 17 riders – the winner was Adam Kovacs from Hungary, who also managed to win both races in front of Bulgarian Nikolay Malinow and of Greek Antonis Sagmalis.
The next round of the series will be held in the weekend of 6/7 May in Sevlievo, Bulgaria.
